Fresh from a successful pageant stint in Antalya, Turkey, Alexandra Faith Garcia came home with the crown of Miss Aura International on her head. She happily met up with several invited friends from the pageant media at the Victoria Sports Tower in EDSA Timog where answered questions left and right – from light to the more serious ones. She shed tears once or twice (courtesy of this blogger) but all in the spirit of joy and fulfillment.
In the said press conference, close friends of Faith also graced the event – especially Team Aura that stood by her in the journey and her loving KF for Crown. for Country. family headed by Rodin Gilbert B.flores. Designer Cathy-Mora Capistrano also showed her support.
This may be the final chapter in her colorful pageant life, but not in furthering her agriculture-related advocacy which she plans to fully establish in her home of Olongapo City.
From all of us at normannorman.com Pageantry Normsantry Norms, Congratulations once more❣️
Hers is a story that can only be aptly described as “magical”.
With practically all the elements of the well-loved fiction – save the presence of the wicked stepmother and stepsisters – she was crowned at almost half past midnight (Egypt time) and had her Prince Charming in the audience incessantly cheering her on.
By no means is this parallel to that “life is stranger than fiction” line. Instead, the beautiful inspirations are all there;
1. Her name says it all – “Cinderella”.
2. Truth be told, she almost did not win the national crown if not for the wildcard opportunity that allowed her to shine on her own merits. The glass shoes really fit.
3. She has not one but two Fairy Godmothers. The first one is Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta of BPCI. And the second one is Atty Jeffrey Saclot (her direct boss at the Misamis Oriental Provincial Tourism Office) who made sure that her journey to Egypt was smooth and problem-free.
4. She has a team of friends who stayed with her all the way through. Call them a glam team or the footmen and coachman. But they supported all her needs from start to finish – Michael Villamor, Odelon Simpao and Maja Blanka.
5. She has her real-life Prince Charming – Henri Lopez – who stood by her, rallied everyone and claimed the crown as early as the day she won BbPilipinas.
This is such a wonderfully victorious journey for Cinderella Faye Obeñita whose success in pageantry is written in the stars. It does not happen to everyone. But then again, she has Lady Luck by her side and worked hard to achieve the win.
Mabuhay ka, Cindy!

CARACAS (AP) – Amanda Dudamel, daughter of former national soccer team coach Rafael Dudamel, was crowned Miss Venezuela Thursday in a modest ceremony without the lavish productions of decades past. Beauty and sport dominated the pageant scene.
Dudamel, a 21-year-old and 1.79-meter-tall tennis player and fashion designer, represented the Andean Region, which this year brought together the states of Táchira, Mérida and Trujillo, due to the organization’s decision to limit the number from candidates to 18 – compared to the usual two dozen – to guarantee compliance with the biosecurity measures decreed by the coronavirus pandemic to be held in a reduced space.
The young woman was surprised minutes after her coronation by a video call from her father, who was a goalkeeper for the vinotinto national team, from Colombia, where he trains Deportivo Cali. Her mother and her sister, Victoria, are in Chile…
Check out the performance of Miss Philippines Maureen Montagne during the Head-to-Head Challenge Finals of The Miss Globe 2021. She is definitely one of the few standouts here.
Today, October 29, a new Miss Intercontinental will be crowned in Sharm El Shiekh, Egypt. Do watch the Live Streaming (at around 3am of Saturday, October 30) on the YouTube channel of the pageant and cheer our Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental Cindy Obeñita who is all geared up to vie for – and hopefully capture- our country’s 2nd big victory in the pageant.
You may lose sleep over watching it live, but it will be all worth the #puyat!
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
