It was a long process but we all had a good time pre-judging the forty (40) Official Candidates of Miss Millennial Philippines 2018 on the daily noontime show “Eat Bulaga” of GMA-7. Along with MU2010 4th Runner-Up Venus Raj, Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1997 Abbygale Arenas, Popular Vlogger Dwaine Woolley, PAL’s Cezanne Villafuerte and PotenCee’s Ayne Rili, I really enjoyed the more than 3 hours spent assessing the young ladies.
Hopefully, the best of the group will zoom ahead to the Top 10 come Finals Day on Saturday, October 27 at the Kia Theater Araneta Center.
Good luck to everyone!
Below is the full video of the Pre-Judging.
Looking forward to Miss Millennial Philippines 2018:
Soon, you will start meeting the 40 Millennial Queens of 2018 who will vie for the crown of the reigning titleholder Julia Novel Gonowon. You will also get to see the beauty of their respective provinces and/or municipalities as they help in local tourism and promotion.
Watch out on GMA-7’s Eat Bulaga!
I already finished the blog entries on the confirmed pageant mission dates of our Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Queens, save for Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray. I know that the talks about Miss Universe 2018 being held in Thailand is practically close to the truth. But pending an official announcement from the MUO, I would rather use their press release just to bring finality to the venue itself.
In the meantime, here is a video of Cat doing a Q&A for host Boy Abunda on The Bottomline. I really have nothing else to change in the way our Queen expresses her views because she is naturally spontaneous and articulate that every answer she gives is worth listening to.
Season 6 of Asia’s Next Top Model will premiere on Fox Life this coming August 22. And in the entire cycle, Bangkok, Thailand will be the host city.
Cindy Sirinya Bishop will continue as host, along with Creative Director Yu Tsai and mentors Monika Sta. Maria (from S3), Minh Tu Nguyen and Shikin Gomez (both from S5).
And now, the fourteen (14) contenders are:
With Season 6 of Asia’s Next Top Model starting August 22 (on Fox Life), the usual spoilers as to who the Philippine representatives are have already spread like wildfire on social media. Meet the two ladies being buzzed about as following the trail of Season 5 winner Maureen Wroblewitz and hopefully doing us proud on the show as well.
Jachin Manere (a member of the Professional Models Association of the Philippines) and Adela-Mae Marshall (she was 1st Runner-Up of Philippines’ Next Top Model)
Know more about them soon!
I was tipped that these two ladies did very well in the season filming. But that’s getting far ahead of the story.
These photos of Patricia Tumulak – in a bronzed version of her beauty – by Photographer Edward “Red” Keeler inspired me to make a blog entry about this once-pageant-favorite-turned-showbiz-personality.
There was a time when – during the height of her national beauty pageant attempts – Patricia Tumulak had hordes of fans and followers who continuously encouraged and pushed her to squeeze all the opportunities she could lay her hands on just to win a Bb. Pilipinas crown last 2011. She did. But as fate would have it, her career path was not really cut out to become a Queen.
Now, she is more comfortably niched in the four walls of local showbiz as a TV host, entertainment news anchor and teleserye character actress (she is currently being seen on the afternoon soap “Contessa”).
I am quite happy with how her career on GMA-7 is moving along quite nicely. There were speed bumps along the way (such as when she exited as co-host of Eat Bulaga), but nothing that stopped her from shining even more on the small screen – regardless of the meatiness of the role or project.
