Today being the last day of June – which also happens to be Pride Month – allow me to share the QUEENtuhan Special Pride Episode with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti and Mutya ng Pilipinas Carla Lizardo. Guests are former Miss International Queen titleholder Trixie Maristela and Thysz Estrada.
All posts for the month June, 2020
Glad to announce that my very special guests for the second episode of #PageantryNorms this coming Sunday, July 5, 4pm will be the winners of Miss Philippines Earth 2020 and her court – fresh from their proclamation as the new titleholders just a few hours earlier during the TV telecast on GMA Network.
Looking forward to “discovering” who these five lucky Eco Angels will be – the Queens in the New Normal of Pageantry.
It will be exciting to have have them as guests❣️ Thanks to Ms Lorraine, Ms Peachy and Ms Mylene for green-lighting this.
Sharing with you the video of the inaugural episode of #PageantryNorms via The Philippine Pageantry. Inspite of the occasional technical difficulties and all, we were still able to make it through.
It’s not easy mounting an online discussion program but fulfilling once everything was set into motion.
Thank you to my guests Hannah Arnold, Bella Ysmael and Shane Tormes.
Today, June 27 at 2pm, it will be your blogger’s turn to do the Flower Power Swap Challenge with Miss Philippines Earth 2019 Janelle Tee no less. Head over to the pageant’s FB page to watch.
After a week of reviews/analysis of the Eco Angels from the other queens and members of the pageant media, it will be a challenge to bring in a new perspective and give a thought-provoking wrap-up.
Janelle and I promise to do our best❣️
Below is the video.
I honestly don’t want to make an entry about this topic anymore, but it is going crazy based on the post above from the FB page of Catriona Gray.
I believe that her page admins cannot take the blame since the post looks to be worded, approved and owned by her.
And the comments are really bashing her endlessly. Pageant media would normally make an effort to “shield” her. But in this case, she may have just lost a good number of them. Everyone is already taking in the new normal of doing gatherings or activities. Going back to the old normal in the middle of a pandemic and quarantine is out of the question.
Below are just some of the thousands of comments:
Glad to see new signs of life from the Bb. Pilipinas front.
Catch the live webinar “Unity in Diversity: Understanding Intersectional Feminism” this June 27 (Saturday), 6 PM with Bb. Pilipinas International 2019 Patch Magtanong at the Araneta City Facebook page.
According to dictionary.com:
Intersectional Feminism is “a movement recognizing that barriers to gender equality vary according to other aspects of a woman’s identity, including age, race, ethnicity, class, and religion, and striving to address a diverse spectrum of women’s issues”
From the originally-planned December 6 finals, Miss World Philippines 2020 will now have its Grand Coronation Night on November (specific date TBA) to give ample time for our representatives to Miss Eco Teen and Miss Multinational (which will both take place in December) plus Miss World (which is likely to be hosted in Thailand either mid-December or early 2021). This was confirmed by National Director Arnold Vegafria who also commits to taking all safety measures in conducting the event according to government regulations on COVID19.
Stay tuned for more details!
You asked the questions, the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidates answer them. And I have a feeling you will get a more positive impression of (most of) them in the two videos below.
