Miss India Vartika Singh seems to be coming up nicely in many pageant followers’ early picks and favorites. She has this very MU vibe that could sit well with the organization. If she plays everything according to her game plan, she could be one of the biggest hurdles in the way of either Gazini Ganados or Paweensuda Drouin. Or even Julia Horta.
If you missed the live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Philippine Arena, eleven of our international beauty queens paraded with the eleven participating nations in the biennial regional sporting event that drew a full house in the gigantic venue.
Pia Wurtzbach, Megan Young, Precious Lara Quigaman, Karen Gallman, Jamie Herrell, Angelia Ong, Karen Ibasco, Cynthia Thomalla, Sharifa Akeel, Jannie Alipo-on and Sophia Senorom added World-Class Beauty to the proceedings when they led each of the SEA Games nations during the parade onstage.
In the words of Jearson Demavivas:
Resham’s B’laan Inspired National Costume for Miss Supranational 2019.
“It is my pride that I am once again bringing into the International stage, and that is the B’laan tribe of Koronadal City and of the neighboring municipalities.
In this ensemble, we have tweaked the traditional B’laan attire into a modern one through the incorporation of suit pants made of B’laan cloth and other glittery embellishments.
Notable is the addition of a weaved cloth attached to the headdress which is almost a century-old that was made by no less than a National Artist B’laan weaver.
Thanks to the City of Koronadal for helping us make this costume a reality. Truly a Philippine pride.
