The 40 gorgeous candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2022 made the competition more intense as they slay the runway during the press presentation at the Novotel Manila Araneta City on July 5.

Stunning in swimsuits by Justine Aliman and shoes by Jojo Bragais, the candidates charmed the viewers with their fierce stage presence. Their confident struts on the lit LED stage were accompanied by music provided by DJ Tom Taus. A special performance by PPOP act 4th Impact gave an electrifying touch to the show.

Among the show’s audience is a judging panel that consists of Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) and executives of Binibining Pilipinas 2022 sponsors. The event also released a teaser of the brand-new Binibining Pilipinas theme song sang by the PPOP Kings, SB19.

Hosted by Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2021 Samantha Panlilio, and Binibining Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold, the Press Presentation highlighted the diverse beauty of Filipinas. This year’s exciting roster of candidates consists of outstanding students and graduates, artists, sports and fashion enthusiasts, celebrities, and working professionals who excel in their respective fields.

With less than a month left before the finals, the ladies still have a busy schedule ahead. They will have to showcase their exquisite national costumes in a show on July 16, and participate in the highly anticipated Parade of Beauties on July 23.

And finally, the best of the best will shine bright during the Grand Coronation Night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on July 31, to be telecast LIVE on TV5, A2Z, The Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, iWantTFC and the Binibining Pilipinas Official YouTube channel.

Can you make “real friends” in pageants?

To answer the question above, “real friends” can be had in pageants. From my point of view, I can attest to that*. As far as numbers are concerned, though, the number is not that high. But what do I significantly know? I am simply coming from a blogger’s opinion. And experience-wise, 95% of the people I meet are always nice (or well-behaved) in my presence.

Take it from these ladies – Pia Wurtzbach, Bianca Guidotti and Carla Lizardo – who have solidified their sisterhood through the years.

* – I can say that my down-to-Earth friends among Queens include Cindy Obeñita, Rabiya Mateo, Chelsea Fernandez, Trisha Martinez, Leren Mae Bautista, Hannah Arnold and Angelee delos Reyes among others.

The search is on for Binibining Pilipinas 2022!

Binibining Pilipinas officially opens its search for beautiful and inspiring Filipinas who will continue the legacy of the country’s premier and most prestigious pageant.

This year’s edition of Binibining Pilipinas is set to crown a new batch of young and empowered queens who will promote beauty and advocacy on the beauty pageant stage. Considered one of the most anticipated beauty events in the world, Binibining Pilipinas aims to produce new titleholders who will replicate the country’s success in international pageants.

Binibini queens currently hold the titles of Miss Intercontinental and The Miss Globe, and have shown stellar performances in pageants such as Miss International and Miss Grand International — all reinforcing the Philippines’ status as an international pageant powerhouse.

Other than the crowns, exciting activities await the new batch of Binibining Pilipinas ladies. This year’s edition is expected to bring back the pre-pandemic festive and highly-anticipated pageant activities that gather fans and supporters in Araneta City.

This year wasn’t the best for Philippine pageantry internationally, but not the worst either. It’s middling around the average range and pushing higher than 2019 and significantly compared to 2020. Keep in mind that I included only the competitions that I blogged about.

Miss Kuyamis 2022 Swimsuit Competition

In this entry are some official photos from the Miss Kuyamis 2022 Swimsuit Competition held yesterday at Amaya View.

Congratulations to a successful pre-pageant event. Miss Kuyamis is clearly one of the most well-organized provincial pageants in the Philippines. And kudos to Jimema Tempra of Jasaan (left photo) for being declared #BestInSwimsuit.

The presence of Misamis Oriental Governor Bambi Emano made everything more special, just as the esteemed panel of judges that included Miss Intercontinental Cindy Obeñita, Binibini Araneta City Francesca Taruc, former Mr International Philippines Gil Wagas, Designer Odelon Simpao and PCOL Ranel Valones of the Misamis Oriental PPO.

Aside from the reigning titleholder Dannah Tempra, four of the former winners were also in attendance – Chella Falconer, Isobel Teano, Ana Monica Tan and Berjayneth Chee – all placers in their respective national pageants. Provincial Tourism Officer Atty Jeffrey Saclot was around to make sure that the entire proceedings went as smoothly as possible.

Looking forward to the official swimsuit photos of the ladies, as well as the Finals on January 13 which will be hosted by actor Marco Gumabao.
