This week's question turns the table around on the Misters

For this week’s “Chatting with the Misters”, I turned the tables around on the candidates and sought their individual views on how they will decide on the winners of Misters 2015 The Pageant should they become one
of the judges. Most of them were quite opinionated on the subject matter, while some opted to stick to what is expected by most.
And with the Press Presentation happening this afternoon, the question couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.
Here are the replies they gave:
“If I were the judge of the contest, I will look at the criteria for judging. I will base it according to the requisites of the pageant. Like swimwears, physique, intellect and talent. I will have to look into what the International Pageants need, because one has to look forward in who can really compete and comply with the standards of the competition. Most importantly, it is all about the character of a person. Normally, people look into a model, an artist based on what is presented in prints and media. But as what my father taught me – true character is when no one is looking at you – to look at a person holistically, faith, peers, intellect, attitude and the way he handles stress is to look only on how a person, handles unfamiliar people around him that only people and organizers can testify. A role model is someone whom you can reach out to than someone who you think as out of your league”
– Jerome Tabayoyong, #TheSPEDTeacherFromPangasinan
“As a judge, my objective criteria would be passion, intelligence, and talent. I lean towards passion because it exemplifies the willingness to win, intelligence is a given, and talent because I believe someone has be good at something that they can brag about.”
– J.E. Adajar, #TheMMAFighterFromLaguna
“My judgement will be based on their overall performance specially on those behind the scenes but since i will only judge on the Finals Night (I assume), I will ask the whole team (organizers) who has the best character/attitude amongst them. Looks, physique and talent can be improved but not their attitude and character.”
– Don Mcgyver Cochico, #TheBatangSOCOFromManila

Misters 1 to 15
“If I were a judge, I would base my judgement through a candidate’s life as a whole that includes personality and lifestyle. Because just having a great physique doesn’t define a good role model.”
– Red Bayron, #TheRedSurferFromMatiCity
“If I were a judge, I look for their attitude. Coz we all know that being handsome is a given…the important thing is the attitude and if they are capable of responsibly handling the titles. On the outside, I look for a man who can look special with whatever he wears. The way he walks must be like he’s the most handsome who can command attention.”
– Arcel Yambing, #TheTopModelFromBacolor
“Kung ako po ang hurado, pipiliin ko yung taong kayang gampanan ang trabaho ng isang tunay na Pilipino.”
– Ian Flores Alibo, #TheMechanicFromDavaoDelNorte
“If I were to judge the winners of Misters 2015, I would choose those who can represent the Philippines well and individuals who show the epitome of a true Filipino gentleman.”
– AR dela Serna, #TheGuyNextDoorFromBohol
“For me, the winners of Misters 2015 should be men who are enlightened on what true dignity is, valuing others aside from themselves, and men who are not ashamed to show the people a glimpse of what their lives truly are behind the limelight. I know that these traits are what made dynamic and memorable men of today. From ordinary people to heroes of today, I am certain that a man of humility will rise to the top.”
– Rick Kristoffer Palencia, #TheSurvivorFromTacloban
“I would decide by their personality and their talent.”
– Marcel Stulir, #TheNatureLoverFromButuanCity
“If I were a judge, first na titingnan ko is the personality and attitude, next the talent and physique..kasi ang ugali mahirap baguhin mas mahalaga pa rin na maganda ugali marunong makisama. Hindi yong nakikisama lang dahil my kailangan o ginawa lang ang isang bagay dahil may nakatingin.. ang talent at katawan dyan lang yan. Kaya mo matutunan yan. Pero ang good moral and being a good guy is hard to find.”
– Jake Camarines, #TheSeamanFromQuezonCity
“He must be a real Mister. He must be respected by others just as much as he can respect others too. He must think rational. We don’t need a genius, being a rational thinker is far more than a genius. Lastly, he has to have the personality of a true Mister.”
– Paolo Lester Caballero, #TheBestBetFromBulacan

Misters 16 to 30
“Misters 2015 isn’t just a pagent based upon physical beauty. Most beauty comes within a person, a person with honesty and heart. We all need a role model whom we can look up to. Confidence, presentation, honesty and heart are all important factors. To be able to carry yourself naturally with confidence, will shine your honest personality.”
– Rob Mcnamara, #TheFitnessHunkFromFilCommAustralia
“I go for a total package of a candidate. He must be tall, oozing with sex appeal, wit combined with international aura. Moreover, he shoud be presentable, good communicator, ambassador of goodwill and can deal with different races around the globe.”
– Jazzie Magne Vasquez, #TheElectricalAideFromMakatiCity
“Presentation is everything, to be a winner you need to present yourself in all apects that fully project an all-around package. It’s all about your personality, being yourself, showing the judges who you really are as an individual, showing them you are confident walking in your own skin. Because if you doubt yourself, judges can see that. It’s your poise, your walk and it even comes to speech. Confidence is everything.”
– Ari Kane, #TheBusinessmanFromFilCommVictoria
“If I were a judge, I will seek the help of the persons involved in observing the candidates in the things they do behind the scenes. It’s a matter of showing who you are and being real not only in front of the camera or the people but also in your everyday life. In general, for me its 50% performance in the event and 50% performnce behind the scenes. Each title has its different qualifications and there are candidates who are entitled to which. Overall, if I will judge, attitude is the real deal. Money can’t buy manners, character and morals.”
– Church Hill Garcia, #TheHipHopDancerFromTarlac
“Since Misters is about finding the most dynamic filipino in the land, then I would pick a candidate with a dynamic personality. He must also be fit to be able to become a role model who can promote a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, he must have a commercial appeal as being a Mister, you must be able to endorse products. And last but not the least, he must have a good heart.”
– Reniel Villareal, #TheOFWFromPagbilao
