Let’s go half-teaser, half-reveal for this one. I say half-reveal because we will just go by her first name for now.
Alexandra is 23 years old and stands a good 5’9.5” on bare feet. She is a proud Lagunense. From Calamba in particular.
Indulge your blogger with some of the drama.
Alexandra will definitely sign up for the nationals in 2020. The question is: will she go for Bb. Pilipinas or Miss Universe Philippines?
Watch out for more of her soon!

When Maria Isabela Galeria of Sorsogon started her Binibini journey last year, most everyone thought that she has all the potentials to become a winner. At the same time, though, she was still deemed too young by many to assume such a responsibility. But considering that she made it all the way to the Top 15, the indicators are clear. She should make a comeback and present a more improved version of herself that could spell victory in her second attempt.
Now instead of refreshing your memory on the small cute details that went into her introductions as Binibini15 of Class 2019, we might as well focus on how else she can do better this time around. More life experiences would help a lot. But this aspect is a work-in-progress for anyone. I reckon that she needs to up her confidence even more so that she can express her views more convincingly. The sincerity is already there. Given that extra kick of one-on-one guidance, she can be more solid in her presentations beyond the usual pasarela and the like.
If she can translate her writing skills as an online novelist into a more cohesive display of her communication abilities as a speaker, then we could have an aspirant who can meet the standards being set by pageant followers and enthusiasts. She is already brimming with the physical qualities that can impress. Now is the time to put all the pieces together.
In a 2015 article by Devorah Blachor for the Huffington Post, she made mention of several points that can make the Disney character of Cinderella relevant in this day and age. One of them reads, and I quote.:
“Relevant Cinderella: Once upon a time, in spite of all the advertisements and messages that tried to convince a woman that she had to be perfect and look perfect and have a perfect life, she realized that it was all really daft, because nothing is perfect and that she was going to accept imperfection in herself and in the people around her and make it work.”
A tall, beautiful and intelligent young lady named Cinderella Faye “Cindy” Obeñita – who also happens to be the reigning Miss Cagayan de Oro – is one fine example of someone who has no trouble accepting her flaws and transforming them into beneficial strengths. She is not your typical pageant aspirant who walks around in platform heels and well-styled OOTDs on a daily basis. She would comfortably wear her prescription eyeglasses while attired in smart get-ups to make her work as Head of the Planning and Events Division of the Provincial Tourism Office in Misamis Oriental more productive.
Cindy graduated Magna cum Laude from the Liceo de Cagayan University with a degree in Mass Communication. She was a student-jounalist for 10 years where she honed her writing skills in news, sports, technical and feature articles. Aside from her present day job, she also functions as an event/pageant host, print and ramp model, brand endorser and an advocate of cervical cancer prevention.
This 2020, she will make the name “Cinderella” more relevant by signing up to become a Binibini and – hopefully – bring more pride to her hometown and home province of Carmen, Misamis Oriental. No fairy tales, just plain real talk.
I can’t wait to see you shine here in Manila, Cindy!
I wanted to release this teaser for tomorrow, but it simply can’t wait. Sleeping over it will make the update stale in the morning. So here it is now.
Former Binibini (from the 2019 edition) Honey Grace Cartasano will resurface as an aspirant for Bb. Pilipinas 2020 – with a new look and certainly a new attitude. She is definitely green-lighted to sign up and hopefully become a part of it for a second time.
I am more excited for her now compared to the last, and it’s not just about the obvious physical change. She will really bring it on – fiercer and braver, I reckon.
Your thoughts, dear readers?
Today, I offer you a relatively different type of beauty just to temporarily veer away from the cookie-cutter molds we are used to on a daily basis. She is the reigning Bb. Davao del Norte who won the competition sporting that short hair that is not common among beauty queens. But the uniqueness doesn’t stop there. To call her an adventurous young lady would be an understatement because she literally thrives in doing activities that are not common among pageant aspirants.
You see, Pamela Framil is a certified mountaineer who has conquered challenging peaks as such. And she gets the ultimate natural high everytime she successfully climbs one. From land, she can go to the water and ride the waves. She admits to being a surfer in the making. And if that’s not enough, she is taking things one step further. She also freedives. Definitely not for the fear-stricken individual.
Pamela definitely wants to do the nationals this year. But that is, if and only if, the Province of Davao del Norte will approve the budget to support her bid to join Bb. Pilipinas 2020. While everything still remains on a balance, a team of handlers and supporters is ready to back her up anytime soon.
I would surely like to see Pamela proudly represent her province as a Binibini this year.

I never lost sight of this beautiful Cebuana since she joined the inaugural staging of Binibining Cebu last 2017. She may not have been fortunate at the time, but she returned the following year. And true to my expectations, she finally landed a spot in the Top 5 and was crowned Binibining Cebu Heritage 2018 – a title she will relinquish during the finals of the third edition this coming Monday at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Hotel in Cebu.
To truly appreciate Lou Dominique Piczon even more, you need to see and talk to her in person. She has this instant calming effect to any stressed-out individual the minute she shows her sunny and warm-hearted disposition.
Lou will be turning 24 on January 20. And for this 5’9” stunner, a decision has to be made on whether she will take on the challenge of becoming either a Binibini for Bb. Pilipinas 2020 or an aspirant for Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Sure, she has an Account Executive job for Kenneth Cobonpue that will need to take the backseat if she does. But I’m pretty sure the boss won’t mind. And as for Academics, she only needs to submit her thesis before finally wrapping up an IT degree at the University of San Jose – Recoletos.
Lou definitely needs to walk that national pageant stage sooner or later. I hope it will be soon.
I am just as puzzled with the photo above. With no official statement from the organizers yet, I will not dare speculate.
UPDATE: I just got word that there might be a Press Conference from another national pageant next week. I reckon that an announcement will be made. Just do the math, folks.
