The Press Presentation of ICSM Infinity Pageants – Philippine Global Queens was successfully held yesterday afternoon at the Grand Ballroom of Shangrila at the Fort amidst the presence of invited members of the media from TV (ABSCBN, GMA7 and TV5), Radio, Print and Digital.
42 of the 47 Official Candidates were introduced in their Twinkle Ferraren swimwear and Nere Ku heels, as the representatives of Davao City, Bukidnon, Malibay and the Filipino Community of Los Angeles sent their regrets owing to personal reasons beyond their control. It was one of the longest, if not the longest runway ever used for a Press Presentation and everyone agreed that the challenge made the ladies shine even more.
Darling of the Press Kylah Sanchez
The Darling of the Press was voted upon and Kylah Sanchez of Liloan, Cebu (right photo) – who was a Miss World Philippines 2018 Semifinalist – garnered the most support from the Press to be declared as such. The entries of Mandaluyong City and Agno, Pangasinan placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. The 18 year-old Cebuana is now considered a front-runner for one of the six titles at stake, including Miss Cosmos Philippines which she is specifically aiming for.
Below are photo grids of the ladies as captured by Daryl Navaretto for normannorman.com.
Two more early favorites from Sta. Rosa City and Masbate
The Grand Coronation Night of Philippine Global Queens will be held at the same venue on October 18, 2019 where our 2020 representatives for Miss Cosmos International, Miss Regency International, Miss United International, Miss Global United, Miss Continents and Miss United Nations – will be crowned.
Last night during the Fashion Show For a Cause hosted by ICSM Infinity Pageants – Philippine Global Queens at the Grand Ballroom of Shangrila at the Fort in BGC, members of the media were surprised that one of the two finale runway models of Designer Val Taguba (left photo with Celeste) is the beautiful Celeste Cortesi who resurfaced in the public eye after missing for so long during the past number of months- especially during the entire competition period of Miss Philippines Earth 2019 when she was supposed to crown her successor as the reigning titleholder. I could not claim that she was officially dethroned by Carousel Productions owing to a lack of official announcement about the real status of her absence.
Be that as it may, Celeste remains as gorgeous as the first day she landed on Philippine shores to take on a pageant career as the representative of the Filipino Community in Italy. And in my understanding, she is eyeing a next move that will bring her to Bb. Pilipinas 2020.
Any thoughts, dear readers?

And the chance to be voted as #DarlingOfThePress.
More than three months after being crowned as Reyna ng Aliwan 2019 during this year’s Aliwan Fiesta, Nicole Borromeo (of Sinulog Festival of Cebu) was stripped of the title when the organizers finally reached a decision to make the bold move when the Cebuana joined Miss Millennial Philippines 2019 – a direct violation of the stipulations in her contract which she and her manager conformed to prior to winning the annual festival-themed national competition last May.
In her place, 2nd Runner-Up Roi Neeve Comanda of Panagbenga Festival of Baguio City was chosen to take over the unfulfilled reign, and was given her ceremonial crowning during a Press Conference held at the Davao Ballroom of Sofitel Philippine Plaza.
To continue what Borromeo (right photo
) is now unable to do, Neeve will be the one to tour around the Philippines and grace the various festivals in the country in preparation for the next Aliwan Fiesta. She reigned as Miss Baguio Tourism last year. She is 20 years old and a freshman Tourism major at the University of the Cordilleras.
Best of luck to the new Reyna Ng Aliwan!
