You will all remember Angeline Flor Pua, the full-blooded Filipina who won the national crown of Miss Belgium 2019 and represented the Western European country in in both Miss World 2018 in Sanya, China where she competed with our Katarina Rodriguez and Miss Universe 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia against Gazini Ganados.
Angeline has recently started her own channel on YouTube. Check out this lady and see how she communicates to her subscribers. It is one aspect that we have not really seen and appreciate about her.

Christi as Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2010
There’s nothing new anymore about established beauty queens crossing over to other national beauty pageants and winning a second title to their names. The likes of Catriona Gray, Carlene Aguilar, Katarina Rodriguez, Kirby Ann Basken (from Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2006 to Miss Universe Norway 2007) and Leren Mae Bautista fall under that category – even the subject of our blog entry for today.
But what really makes Christi Lynn McGarry more unique compared to the rest? I can name two (2):
Christi McGarry during the first time she represented the Philippines in Miss Intercontinental back in 2010.
1) She was crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific 2010 but was sent instead to Miss Intercontinental 2010 in the Dominican Republic after the original Mutya ng Pilipinas Intercontinental 2010 Carla Lizardo could not fulfill the overseas mission. She placed in the Top 15 and was named Continental Queen of Asia Oceania. In the same year, she was appointed to represent the Philippines in Top Model of the World where she also finished in the Top 15.
2) When Christi suited up for Bb. Pilipinas 2015, she wanted so much to win any of the titles at stake except for Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental for obvious reasons. But as fate would have it, she earned the right to represent us in Miss Intercontinental for a second time. The only difference is that she performed better by grabbing 1st Runner-Up honors to Valentina Rasulova of Russia and claiming the Continental Queen of Asia Oceania sash once more.
Christi (2nd from right) was more successful in her second attempt when she finished 1st Runner-Up during Miss Intercontinental 2015
Christi’s pageant career is colorful to say the least. Maybe the hues are not as bright as, say competing in either Miss Universe or Miss International. But all things being equal, her share of achievements cannot be sneered upon. Here is someone who vied twice for the same international pageant crown, made a creditable mark at first and returned as a more polished and prepared fighter five years later. All #ForThePhilippines.
This is how Christi spends her golden hour workout at home while on ECQ
Here are the latest photos of Katarina Rodriguez as captured by Jan Mayo. No teasers or anything here. I just want to share her glowing beauty these days, aside from the fact that she landed a part in the ABSCBN teleserye “Make it with You” with the Liz-Quen tandem – this jumpstarting her showbiz career.

Katarina Rodriguez could be the poster girl of inked beauty queens in the Philippines
This is one question that will potentially separate the open-minded readers from those with double standards on the matter.
Personally, I don’t mind seeing tattoos on our beauty queens. It makes them more sexy, aside from having minds of their own in terms of how to freely express themselves – be it on any part of their body or outside.
How about you?
How do you feel about tats on beautiful ladies who aspire to be Official Candidates in our national pageants this 2020?

My last teaser for the year 2019 isn’t much of a tease. It can be called an ultimate seduction – a one big final thrust, if you will.
While she may not be saying it outright, Katarina Rodriguez has been leaving hints here and there about the possibility of extending her colorful pageant career to the fullest. You simply need to read between the lines to sense what kind of future plans are being considered. And at her age of 27 now, time is not giving much of an extension beyond 2020 if she is serious about giving it one final go.
Her advocacies are already intact – being a Peace Hero for Teach Peace Build Peace Movement and a Children’s Right Activist (and Ambassador) for Save The Children. On top of that, she can think on her feet and express her meaningful thoughts well.
Having two national titles tucked under her belt, Katja should have moved on from pageantry by now. But the build up from Miss Intercontinental 2017 to Miss World 2018 is like assembling a totem pole where the topmost part is still missing an important piece. And if she pushes through with Miss Universe Philippines 2020, then it will be like the 3rd part of a trilogy where the last chapter will have all the exciting elements of a long story waiting for one big epilogue.
In less than two weeks from now, the reigning titleholders of Miss World Philippines 2018 will crown their successors along with the addition of at least two (2) new titles at stake.
For now, let’s feast our eyes on the quartet of Katarina Rodriguez, Maureen Montagne, Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez and Kimi Mugford in Dennis Santos creations as styled by Kenneth Ramil Yturralde and Karl Dioso.
After September 15, they are all ready to move on – Katarina with her charity causes, Maureen with plans of joining Miss World America for a second time, Alyssa with her showbiz career and Kimi with her studies in the US.
We already know by now that Miss World 2013 Megan Young will host tonight’s finals of Mr World 2019.
Two more beauties will join her to do all the color commentaries backstage:
Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez and Miss Eco International 2018 1st Runner-Up Maureen Montagne.
Looking forward to seeing you ladies soon!

With Bb. Pilipinas 2019 over and dine with – albeit delayed for this year – could Miss World Philippines 2019 be closing in on its tails? I bet it will be. With Miss Philippines Earth 2019 going into full swing mode this month and finished by next, the search for the successors of Katarina Rodriguez, Maureen Montagne, Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez and Kimi Mugford will be starting soon. I’m interested to find out who among our 2019 Binibinis will cross-over (or plot a return) to the accepting arms of the Miss World Philippines Organization.
Who do you think will make the move? Nicole Guerrero? Julia Saubier? Ilene de Vera? or Jessica Marasigan?

Congratulations to Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez who is now the first Filipino Ambassador of Save the Children Foundation. Your good heart and influence will definitely go a long way in fulfilling the meaningful causes of the organization in improving the lives of children through better education, health care and economic opportunities – especially in helping #stopthewaronchildren.
Photos from the Sendoff Press Conference held at Novotel Manila Araneta Center in honor of #MissEcoPhilippines Maureen Montagne who will represent the country in Miss Eco International to be held in Cairo, Egypt from March 12-29.
Her fellow Queens – Miss World Philippines Katarina Rodriguez, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez and Miss Multinational Philippines Kimi Mugford- and National Director Arnold Vegafria were around to give their moral support and well-wishes to our competing rep.
Best of luck, Mo! And go for the back-to-back win!
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
