Chritine Balaguer and her aerial yoga.
At the Eclipse Bar of Solaire Resort and Casino, the Talent Show of Miss World Philippines 2014 was held with the ladies showing off their skills outside of plain beauty and catwalk displays.
There were those who sang. Another big group who individually danced. Two of them played magicians. And one deaf risk-taker performed aerial yoga to the delight of the audience.
Christine Balaguer was the one who did the suspended acrobatics. Valerie Weigmann and Jean Marie Feliciano performed magic tricks. The rest either swayed to the groove of different music genres or exhibited their vocal chops in varying degrees of acceptability.
Who won Miss Talent? We’ll find out on October 12. 😉
But if you ask me, it could be a toss between #21 Jean Marie Feliciano who delivered a smooth string of magic tricks and #4 Priscilla Kimberly dela Cruz with her nicely choreographed and executed interpretative dance number.

Ibiza Condo RCA in Bangkok
Below is the video of where Miss Grand International 2013 Janelee Chaparro resided in Bangkok, Thailand during parts of her reign when she is required to be in the Land of Smiles. It is the Ibiza Condominium RCA
located in Phetchaburi 47 Yaek 3-4, Bang Kapi, Huai Khwang.
Since Janelee will vacate the unit after crowning her successor on October 7, Miss Grand International 2014 will be moving in a week’s time from the date and have the place to herself for one full year.
What I would do to have my own place there! 😉

A different MJ look. Liking it?
Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean ‘MJ’ Lastimosa is always game for experimentation in make-up styles. And in the hands of someone in the excellent know, she is more than willing to give free rein in having her face beautified from a blank canvas to a Romanesque beauty in this case.
Do you like it?
Keep in mind that her final look for Miss Universe is still under wraps for now.
So if you’re not in agreement, go easy on the comments. 😉
From the original October 18, Mister International 2014 has been postponed for November 29
Neil gets an extra month to prepare for Mister International 2014
The Press Release from the organizers:
THE 2014 MISTER INTERNATIONAL PAGEANT TO BE POSTPONED TO NOVEMBER 29
The Mister Singapore Organization regrets to announce that the 2014 MISTER INTERNATIONAL Pageant has been postponed to November 29.
Jung-Hoon Jun, Chairman of the 2014 Mister International Host Committee Korea, had just informed us that three of the four key personnel of the committee were involved in a traffic accident on their way home last night and had sustained serious injuries. Jung-Hoon is not confident to conduct the pageant single handedly. After much discussion this afternoon, we have decided to postpone the pageant until a new committee has been formed or at least two of the personnel are well enough to work.
We sincerely seek your kind understanding and apologize for any inconvenience caused as this situation is totally unexpected and beyond our control.
For inquires, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.

She is turning 20 by November 18, this eye candy of a model who’s a native of Ceara with a smoking hot body packed in a 5’6″ frame. And she is aiming to continue the running streak of Brazil in Miss Universe with at least a Top 5 placement equivalent to a 4-peat – something the Philippines achieved last year with Ara Arida.
Melissa Gurgel – newly-crowned Miss Brasil 2014 – is cut out for the beauty battle and she wants to improve on the collective placements of predecessors Priscila Machado, Gabriela Markus and Jakelyne Oliveira.
“A emoção é muito grande e eu tinha muita fé de que iria chegar até aqui, mas não deixou de ser uma surpresa. Deus me guiou e me deu muita atitude na hora do desfile. Graças a ele eu conquistei essa coroa”, postou Melissa no Twitter.” (Translation: “The emotion is very overwhelming and I had a lot of faith that it would get here, but it was still a surprise. God guided me and gave me lots of attitude at the time of the parade. Thanks to him I won this crown,” Melissa posted on Twitter.

Kimberly posing with an elephant
I would like to thank all of my supporters who have stood by me. I’m sorry I don’t have time to answer everyone but do know that I read and appreciate every single comment you make! Win or lose, I feel so blessed to have such an amazing group of people supporting me. I know I can’t please everybody, and being a first timer in pageantry I am trying my very best despite the tough competition. Some of you might not have faith in me, I understand, and I thank those who continuously support and pray for me! Love you guys!”

Practicing out their poses
When Miss World Philippines 2014 started, Valerie Weigmann entered the competition as the lone entry of Aces & Queen. More than a week after, she found herself in the company of a new camp sister in the person of deaf model/paddler Christine Balaguer who was taken in by Jonas Gaffud after the unanimous decision of all the key individuals to accommodate her.
Sure. Christine had beautiful potentials. But without the proper guidance and training from the pageant master, she can only rely on whatever limited knowledge and exposure she acquired as a fashion model. And it simply wasn’t enough. Add to that the fact that she needed support in wardrobe and styling. She had no formal handler to speak of.
I won’t go on relating the other background information about Christine because it sure would read like a real-life teleserye. Suffice it to say that she is a much happier person now who feels a sense of belongingness. Her confidence has jacked up tremendously.
And with ‘big sister’ Valerie by her side, she knows that things can only get better – crown or no crown on top of her head. 🙂

Perhaps, I was expecting more in terms of definition.
Perhaps, I wanted images that would wow me like crazy.
Perhaps, I would have been more pleased with a better set of headshots.
Perhaps, I am just a spoiled photo-brat.
Oh my, I don’t want to dwell on perhaps.
Perhaps, my phablets and tablets do not give justice to the actual vivid photographs that would look best on my laptop.
I will review them again tomorrow.
I am just so darn sleepy right now.
P.S. Can someone tell me where #10 Grace Ann Bautista was when these shots were taken? It distracts me to see just a head silhouette in her space above.
