The results of tomorrow night’s Finals and Coronation of Miss Philippines Earth 2023 is looking more and more like a foregone conclusion by the day. Call it like a repeat of Miss World Philippines 2016 and Binibining Pilipinas 2018 when Catriona Gray dominated both national pageants and comfortably walked away with the crown. This time, Yllana Marie Aduana of Siniloan, Laguna is expected by almost everyone to bag the title. And come hell or high water, she will not allow anyone to pull the win from right under her nose.
That is the beautifully difficult situation the Lagunense is facing right now. Being the most experienced, well-prepared and well-trained among the 29 candidates, acing every segment of the competition should be a breeze. Not unless two of her closest pursuers spoil the anticipated victory. Keep an eye on Kerri Reilly of Mangatarem, Pangasinan and Sha’uri Livori of Fil-Comm Melbourne. They will not make things easy for Yana.
Here now are my Top 10 Final Predictions for Miss Philippines Earth 2023:
1. Yllana Marie Aduana – Siniloan, Laguna
2. Kerri Reilly – Mangatarem, Pangasinan
3. Sha’uri Livori – Fil Comm Melbourne
4. Cea De Jesus – Taguig City
5. Chrystel Mae Correos – Carrascal, Surigao del Sur
6. Meri Lasil Relevo – Balayan, Batangas
7. Jeica Dimatatac – San Pascual, Batangas
8. Nicolle Lagera – Fil Comm California USA
9. Athena Auxillo – Toledo City
10. Jemimah Joy Zabala – Puerto Princesa City

This afternoon is my scheduled angioplasty. It may be a simple enough procedure, almost non-invasive even. But if my Doctors decide that I go for the riskier (but more rewarding) route, then it’s going to require more than an ounce of inner strength and endurance on my part.
Send those #prayers of interecession my way. 🙏🏼
PS This is the reason why I have not been as active compared to previous weeks.

After a successful run in 2022, one of the country’s biggest male national pageants is returning with a brand new edition that will assemble the biggest number of candidates in one competition. Given the advent of a post-pandemic era, it will forge ahead with a theme that is a befitting accompaniment in the search for a new set of Filipino Kings to be fielded in the international stage.
Mister International Philippines 2023 starts with the Press Presentation event at One Esplanade where 43 of fifty-five (55) Official Candidates were introduced to members of the media. These young men come from different parts of the country – Northern and Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog, Bicol Region, Visayas, Mindanao and the National Capital Region – including representatives from Filipino Communities overseas.
From this point onward, the contest will switch to an even higher gear with a series of workshops designed to strengthen the skills and abilities of each candidate in grooming, professional imaging, personality development, Q&A, financial literacy and leadership excellence. This will be followed by a provincial tour to two of the hottest places in the country where some important segments of the competition will be hosted, including the Preliminaries. Upon return to Manila, preparations will be underway for the Finals Night on June 28, 2023 that will take place at the New Frontier Theater.
An additional highlight of the event is the announcement and sashing of the Philippine representative to this year’s Mister Teen International which will be held in an Asian nation to be announced soon. He is Robert Walcher IV, the eldest son of Dr. Rob Walcher (The Peoples Chiropractor) and wife – Beauty Queen/Actress Patricia Javier.
Aside from Press Favorites Austin Cabatana of Quezon City, Nathaniel Tiu of Cebu City and Jay Mark Omolon of Palawan, other early standouts are Micko Boñon of Albay, Alan Roy Sambaan of Cagayan De Oro City, Kenneth Aniban of Cavite City, Emmanuel Balba of Tanauan City, Hassan Fernandez Marjan of Isabela and Ruslan Kulikov of Batangas City.
