How sizzling do you want the beautiful Sandra Lemonon to get? Take your pick in the photos here.
She will definitely be back – stronger and fiercer come 2019!
For now, we will see each other this Friday for the Miss Kaogma 2018 Finals in CamSur.

At the Duty Free Philippines in Parañaque City, an exhibit of National Costumes made by Designer Edwin Uy – titled “Anyong Pilipino” – is currently on display for everyone to appreciate and get inspiration from. During the ribbon-cutting yesterday afternoon, present were Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Ssen Marquez and Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Top 15 Finisher Sandra Lemonon who each wore his dazzling creations, plus special guests including Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez. Mister Universal Ambassador 2017 1st Runner-Up Paul Guarnes was also around to wax nostalgic in the NatCos he proudly wore in Indonesia last year.
Except for the photo of Paul, all other shots were taken by Joy Arguil/Fab Philippines.
How would Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves answer the “Build, Build, Build” question that was unfortunately asked of (the clueless but honest) Sandra Lemonon during the Bb. Pilipinas 2018 Top 15 Q&A?
And while we are in the subject of Nicole who works with Manila Bulletin (aside from being one of the “hurados” on It’s Showtime), check out the interview video filmed at the broadsheet’s headquarters with the new titleholders.
There was no science involved when I came up with my nominations for Bb. Pilipinas 2018. I trusted my gut-feel more than anything else, and mixed in a couple of pageant factors that would make certain candidates be part of the five-women queue for a specific title. And to my pleasant surprise, I was actually able to halve the forty (40) Binibinis without me even making conscious head counts. All the ones who received at least one nomination are included.
Thus, it makes a lot of sense now that my upper-tier twenty are:
#Binibini1 Vickie Marie Rushton
#Binibini3 Muriel Orais
#Binibini7 Sigrid Grace Flores
#Binibini10 Kayesha Chua
#Binibini11 Aya Abesamis
#Binibini14 Samantha Mae Bernardo
#Binibini15 Juliana Kapeundl
#Binibini17 Ma Ahtisa Manalo
#Binibini19 Michele Gumabao
#Binibini20 Catriona Gray
#Binibini23 Ena Velasco
#Binibini24 Edjelyn Joy Gamboa
#Binibini26 Wynonah Buot
#Binibini31 Jehza Huelar
#Binibini32 Eva Patalinjug
#Binibini33 Stephanie Joy Abellanida
#Binibini35 Sandra Lemonon
#Binibini36 Loren Mar Artajos
#Binibini37 Patrizia Garcia
#Binibini38 Karen Gallman
Not to entirely spoil my Final Predictions scheduled for March 16, but the nominees are definitely the group where I will pick my titleholders.
And just like the Grammys or the Oscars, receiving more than one citation is not a guarantee of victory. They merely fit for more than one title, as per my consideration.
It all started inside Monet Ballroom of Novotel Manila Araneta Center where the forty (40) Binibinis were individually introduced to members of the media during the Press Presentation of Bb. Pilipinas 2018. From there, everyone trooped to the poolside on the 6th floor for the traditional group photos in one line-up. They wore identical blue two-piece swimsuits from DR Swim.
As expected, the favorites I named two blog entries prior stood out in the eyes of everyone. But at the same time, nice surprises were seen from the less hyped beauties such as #Binibini37 Patrizia Garcia, #Binibini15 Juliana Kapeundl, #Binibini35 Sandra Lemonon, #Binibini8 Shane Tormes and #Binibini7 Sigrid Grace Flores. But to be fair, all of them delivered onstage. Kudos, ladies!
The most applauded candidates are #Binibini20 Catriona Gray, #Binibini19 Michele Gumabao, #Binibini32 Eva Patalinjug, #Binibini1 Vickie Marie Rushton #Binibini11 Aya Abesamis and #Binibini14 Samantha Mae Bernardo.
Now who will zoom up, maintain front-runner consistency or fall down a notch from hereon now? We will see in the days and weeks to come as the strong ones start to peak and the flash-in-the-pans begin to lose their stronghold.
