On a 200-meter placement of a runway that almost covers one complete side of Uptown Parade in BGC, the Phenomenal Women of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 took on the Runway Challenge that was a test of strength and endurance. With everyone wearing black cocktail dresses and regular heels, they still needed to walk in line from the Empire Studios location on the other end of the Uptown Mall all the way to the actual venue in front of Xylo. Everyone delivered as expected, although the standouts from where I stand are listed at the bottom of this entry.
As for the best performers in this challenge, I would shortlist Alaiza Malinao, Apriel Smith, Maria Isabela Galeria, Bella Ysmael, Sandra Lemonon and Paula Ortega.
The winner of the Runway Event will be announced during the Preliminaries scheduled for April.

Team Lemonades is back in 2020!
Sandra Lemonon filed her application for Miss Universe Philippines 2020 today.
The pageant plot thickens!
Katarina Rodriguez could be the poster girl of inked beauty queens in the Philippines
This is one question that will potentially separate the open-minded readers from those with double standards on the matter.
Personally, I don’t mind seeing tattoos on our beauty queens. It makes them more sexy, aside from having minds of their own in terms of how to freely express themselves – be it on any part of their body or outside.
How about you?
How do you feel about tats on beautiful ladies who aspire to be Official Candidates in our national pageants this 2020?
Inked ladies: Rachel Peters, Celeste Cortesi, Sandra Lemonon and Beatrice Luigi Gomez
Sandra Lemonon – of the “build, build, build” fame of sorts that made her Bb. Pilipinas 2018 participation a more unforgettable turn – has closed that viral episode of her life. She was able to make something good of it. And now it’s time to get down to more forward-looking decisions in life. Last year, she was reported to have auditioned for and passed the screenings for Pinoy Big Brother. That opportunity, though, was not realized for reasons personal (and perhaps network-related) in nature.
The video below was when Sandra tried for ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt.
Now at 24-going-25, Sandra is at the crossroad of her young life, and an age that is most suited to join or re-join a national pageant. I want to see this sweet Pinay-French go back to pageantry and focus on accomplishing an unfinished business of winning a crown to her name.
This is the continuity I am hoping that she will embark on in 2020. And with more fruitful results to reap. Her “Lemonades” (pageant fan group) is just waiting for the go-signal from her end!
