My last teaser for the year 2019 isn’t much of a tease. It can be called an ultimate seduction – a one big final thrust, if you will.
While she may not be saying it outright, Katarina Rodriguez has been leaving hints here and there about the possibility of extending her colorful pageant career to the fullest. You simply need to read between the lines to sense what kind of future plans are being considered. And at her age of 27 now, time is not giving much of an extension beyond 2020 if she is serious about giving it one final go.
Her advocacies are already intact – being a Peace Hero for Teach Peace Build Peace Movement and a Children’s Right Activist (and Ambassador) for Save The Children. On top of that, she can think on her feet and express her meaningful thoughts well.
Having two national titles tucked under her belt, Katja should have moved on from pageantry by now. But the build up from Miss Intercontinental 2017 to Miss World 2018 is like assembling a totem pole where the topmost part is still missing an important piece. And if she pushes through with Miss Universe Philippines 2020, then it will be like the 3rd part of a trilogy where the last chapter will have all the exciting elements of a long story waiting for one big epilogue.
Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez
By now, most of us are aware that the beauty queen creating the loudest whisper of crossing over to Miss World Philippines – which has an August 10 deadline for submission of applications – is Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez (above photo).
Next to her, there is another talked-about transferee who is said to make the move very soon. And she is Miss Philippines Earth Air 2017 Kim de Guzman. She is the girl who was being predicted as the country’s Miss Earth 2017 representative but eventually placed second to Karen Ibasco who went on to win the international crown right here in the Philippines.
The beautiful Kim of Olongapo is raring to win big in her next pageant attempt. And by now, her preparations are being handled by a select team that will cover all bases to insure that she gets the Miss World Philippines 2018 – no more, no less if it can be helped.
What are your thoughts about her, dear readers?
I am posting the message (verbatim) of Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 and now Miss Intercontinental 1017 1st Runner-Up Katarina Rodriguez about how her participation in the said competition changed her life dramatically.
Here is the EXACT moment where I turned FULLY into a woman. Congratulations to Miss Mexico @veritosalasvallejo the new Miss Intercontinental 2017! You are a vision, truly. I came to Egypt for one thing and one thing only: the Miss Intercontinental crown. This crown to me represented my becoming a real woman. Myself, and DOZENS of people behind me dedicated so much time and effort to ensure I would win. I cannot say I would have done anything differently because I was very aware from the moment I stepped into the NAIA airport of every action and word I produced. I can tell you that after rewatching the coronation last night I can confidently say I was FLAWLESS. Never had I been more ready for anything in my life. I had hundreds of thousands of people right behind me and each of you were the gas to my fire. It was not about me anymore it was about YOU.
Here is the thing though, a queen does not necessarily have to be flawless. The Intercontinental crown did fall off Miss Mexico’s head when she was crowned and YES, I did have to pick it up and hand it to her. How could I not say it was such a painful thing for me to do? But when giving the crown to her I swear to you there was this energy that went through her and straight to me and this is where I knew I am no longer a child but a woman. Seeing her beautiful face while handing it back to her, well, I felt PROUD for her, and no pain at all. It was the lightest feeling I have felt in weeks. That crown was never mine and somehow always her’s. I don’t want to read any comments talking superstitions or anything hurtful especially from my Filipinos. Vero is a queen and she is MY queen, MY Miss Intercontinental 2017. She is a sweetheart and very much deserving. She taught me grace by her energy and warmth in a matter of seconds and only a true queen could empower another woman in such a manner. Let us keep that grace Philippines, for this is only the beginning. Viva Mexico, Viva Pilipinas.

Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez is having the time of her life in Hurghada, Egypt while representing the country in Miss Intercontinental 2018. She is totally in the zone when it comes to social media postings and never slacks in encouraging her fans and followers to continue the support for the online voting component of the competition that will now fast-track the top performer a spot in the Top 6.
Please keep the votes coming for our bet because she is within striking distance of the current leader. She is giving her best in all the pre-pageant activities and wants nothing more than to bring home the crown to her fellowmen. Here is the LINK.

It won’t be long till Bb. Pilipinas InterContinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez her chance to take the spotlight and start her mission in Sri Lanka for Miss InterContinental 2017. For starters, she will have her official send-off this coming Monday alongside Rachel Peters amd Chanel Olive Thomas. She may be the last to compete among our crowned Binibinis but that also means that she will have the chunkier part of December to herself as practically all the other ladies have already completed their missions by then.
Do you still feel that Katja will be one of our most successful reps this year?

Miss Intercontinental 2017 will be back in Colombo, Sri Lanka for the second consecutive year. It was supposed to be India hosting this year’s edition, but talks may have reached a roadblock somewhere. And so, the 46th Finale will be held at Shangri-La Colombo on December 21.
For Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2017 Katarina Rodriguez, she will be spending fifteen (15) days in the Sri Lankan capital from the 6th of December till Coronation Night. And while most of her Bb. Pilipinas 2017 sisters (save for Rachel Peters whose date with the 66th Miss Universe is still up in the air) will have already completed their assignments by then, Katja is fine being left on the 12th month to compete. She has extra time in her hands, plus getting a dedicated send-off as well. After all, she promises to be the first Filipina to win the Miss Intercontinental crown.
Your thoughts on her chances, dear readers?
