Samantha Bernardo is on her third and final try in Bb. Pilipinas to get over the runner-up hump and prove herself crown-worthy enough to win a much-anticipated title so she can finally represent the country internationally. This Palaweña has done more than enough in her two previous attempts. And I personally believe that she could have managed a top podium finish last year. She may not be the best speaker among the Binibinis, but she can still carry her answers to completion and complete the entire puzzle that will make her a Queen. As I have mentioned in passing prior, she would have been a worthy representative to Miss Supranational 2019 had she not been pitted against Resham Saeed whose Q&A answer was scored more solidly by the judges.
This year, Sam is not without worthy adversaries. But I feel that she can mount her best game plan yet. Instead of overdoing all aspects in her preparations, she should come across as the more mature and reliable Binibini who can prove to be an asset for BPCI. And in this time when our favorite national beauty pageant needs the all-out support from everyone, having winners who will expertly protect and sustain the brand is a must.
This is where Sam (or Vickie Rushton for that matter) can fill in the void left by the departure of the Miss Universe Philippines title in the roster of crowns.
Above is an official capture of the winning pair during the 2019 Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational:
Anntonia Porsild of Thailand 🇹🇭 and Nate Crnkovich of the US 🇺🇸
Will 2020 see a mandate from the pageant owners to stage just one (1) mixed national pageant that will crown the male and female representatives to the international competition?
Or is the Supranational brand not that powerful yet to impose such to their franchise holders around the world?

Congratulations to Anntonia Porsild of Thailand 🇹🇭 who won Miss Supranational 2019 in Poland hours earlier.
Yana Haenisch of Namibia and Jesica Fitriana of Indonesia finished in second and third places, with the ladies from Peru and Venezuela completing her runners-up in this order.
Miss Philippines Resham Saeed made Top 25.
Another big win for Thailand in international pageantry in 2019!
Hopefully, this will work. The live streaming should start at around 3:05AM.
At around 8pm in Poland’s Silesian Voivoideship (or between 2-3am of Saturday morning later), the finals of Miss Supranational 2019 will take place hours ahead of the Miss Universe 2019 Preliminaries in Atlanta, Georgia (which should sync around 9am in Manila). It will certainly require us to be wide awake as they will follow each other with only a few hours of sleep to sneak in between.
normannorman.com wishes Resham Ramirez Saeed all the best as she tries to win the crown for the Philippines. She has given her best and, hopefully, everything will fall into place.
Below is the finals teaser of the competition:
