If Alina Sanko looks like these photos in person, then we will definitely have a head-turning doll-like delegate for the 69th Miss Universe.
This Russian beauty has already represented her country in Miss World 2019 where she finished in the Top 12 (along with our very own Michelle Dee).
Alina is an architecture student who would like to pursue charity work alongside children. In her free time Alina enjoys poetry, drawing and sports. If she could invite anyone to dinner dead or alive, it would be romantic painter Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky, so that he could discuss his work and give professional advice. Alina’s personal motto is ‘you can’t find happiness, you can only create it yourself’.
I reckon that Alina will make the European contingent stronger. At the moment, the Latinas are all set to dominate the competition in Hollywood, Florida. But in Miss Universe, you can never tell what they are looking for in the next winner following Zozibini Tunzi’s trail.
During yesterday’s finals of Miss World 2019, one can already sense that Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica 🇯🇲 was the favored one to win. Aside from having a warm and giving personality that fits the pageant’s #BWAP brand, she also has the excellent singing talent that can be fully utilized in all of her public appearances worldwide. On a side note, she got the most exposure among the 111 candidates all throughout the telecast as well.
It’s quite interesting to note that the Final Top Choices of Missosology and Sash Factor for Miss World 2019 are both Asians. The former has selected Suman Rao of India 🇮🇳, while the latter went for Michelle Marquez Dee of the Philippines 🇵🇭.
It only goes to show that, indeed, the Asian presence in this annual Beauty-With-A-Purpose event is strong. Add Vietnam or Indonesia to the mix and the continent becomes more iron-clad with certified contenders.
Let’s see which route tonight’s actual results will take.
PS. I have been tied up with blogs on Miss Universe, Miss Supranational and the other international competitions (like Mister Supranational and Miss Eco Teen) that I opted to just allow these two big pageant sites to release their predictions instead.
Today, December 14, is when the new Miss World will be crowned at ExCel London. And our Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Marquez Dee is ready to fight till the very end. She has come this far and there simply is no letting up in the fight for a second blue crown for the Philippines.
Watch the video of our bet in her Francis Libiran National Costume. It should inspire you even more to root for her.
And do watch out for the very elegant evening gown that she will wear from the same designer. It should be a very special creation that will merit your absolute approval.
You always see Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee in those unsmiling, modelesque shots. For a change, here’s our Miss World 2019 bet making us feel her joy at how things are slowly coming up roses in London – in this, the homestretch of the competition.
The Francis Libiran gown above is inspired by the Philippine Seas.

Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
