Megan and Pia
If you missed the live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Philippine Arena, eleven of our international beauty queens paraded with the eleven participating nations in the biennial regional sporting event that drew a full house in the gigantic venue.
Pia Wurtzbach, Megan Young, Precious Lara Quigaman, Karen Gallman, Jamie Herrell, Angelia Ong, Karen Ibasco, Cynthia Thomalla, Sharifa Akeel, Jannie Alipo-on and Sophia Senorom added World-Class Beauty to the proceedings when they led each of the SEA Games nations during the parade onstage.
Just in case you missed it, you can watch below:
Amidst all the controversies (and unforgiveable embarrasments) with the initial days of SEA Games hosting in the country, the Opening Ceremony this coming Saturday, November 30, should be a source of pride for Filipinos. Aside from the showcase of World-Class singing talents, the muses of the participating countries in the region’s biennial sporting event will be eleven (11) of our international beauty titleholders, namely:
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach for Team Philippines
Miss World 2013 Megan Young for Team Indonesia
Miss International 2005 Precious Lara Quigaman for Team Malaysia
Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell for Team Singapore
Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong for Team Thailand

On her part, Miss Philippines Kimi Mugford made it as one of the 5 Finalists.
Miss Multinational 2017 Sophia Senoron crowned her successor.
This is the time to be merry. Ceasefire on negativity, intrigues bashings and all things unpleasant.
All our Queens (and Kings) – major or minor in title – have done their best to bring pride to our country. Let us continue to celebrate them instead of looking at where to nitpick or say something to pull down their hard work and dedication.
Merry Christmas to one and all!

Cynthia Magpatoc Thomalla of the Philippines wins Miss Eco International 2018!
She now joins the two other successful winners of the Miss World Philippines Organization – Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Ssen Marquez and Miss Multinational 2018 Sophia Senoron – and made it victorious for three of the four national titleholders.
Newly-crowned Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla @thia_thomalla is flanked by National Director Arnold Vegafria @arnold_vegafria (rightmost) and Bessie Besana @bessiebesana right after her victory in Egypt
Miss Eco Philippines 2017 Cynthia Thomalla was given her send-off to Miss Exo International 2018 at the Full Belly Craft Kitchen in Quezon City. Her Miss World Philippines Organization family – headed by National Director Arnold Vegafria and General Manager Bessie Besana – were present along with Laura Lehmann, Teresita Ssen Marquez, Sophia Senoron and Glyssa Perez.
Cynthia will leave for Cairo, Egypt soon and will endeavour to win the crown come April 26 so that she can add up to the #1 finishes of Teresita in Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 and Sophia in Miss Multinational.
Best of luck in the mission up ahead!
From April 10-28, 2018, all roads lead to Cairo, Egypt for this year’s edition of Miss Eco International – the last overseas mission of the Miss World Philippines 2017 titleholders after Laura Lehmann, Teresita Ssen Marquez and Sophia Senoron. This time, the uber gorgeous Miss Eco Philippines Cynthia M. Thomalla is getting ready to claim her own brand of achievement by hopefully following in the #1 successes the country reached in Bolivia’s Reina Hispanoamericana and India’s Miss Multinational.
For the uninitiated, Miss Eco International Beauty Pageant was founded by the LTCP-UN project. It brings together representatives of different cultures and traditions from all over the world. Its main objective is to promote the importance of saving our planet environmentally in addition to marketing tourism across the world. This competition focuses on the wellness of the mind, body and spirit of all the candidates that represent all the countries
from all over the world.
I have always had confidence in Cynthia to do well in the international level of competition. She has the bright-eyed stand-out looks and bubbly personality that will serve as her biggest plus points in charming the host city, organizers, locals and fellow candidates. What’s more she is motivated by the performances of her “sisters” and would like to add another big win in the final tally of their collective efforts.
Below is the video of Cynthia’s Q&A last year en route to being crowned Miss Eco Philippines. Please watch it again as her message rings loud and clear, especially to recent potshots that stir unnecessary intrigues to her affiliation with beauty queen-friends who have been involved in a recent social media issue that stemmed during Bb. Pilipinas 2018.
Let us support her bid for Miss Eco International instead, and not dwell on unpleasant talks that can only be counter-productive at the very least.
