Dahican, City of Mati for the Pre-Pageant Show and Beachwear Competition of Misters2015
Come early September, and in the midst of endless activities for Misters of Pilipinas 2015 (or Misters2015 if you will), all the candidates will fly to the City of Mati in Davao Oriental for the swimwear photoshoot as well as the Pre-Pageant Competition that will have them judged in the major areas of National Costume, Beachwear and Formal Wear. The Dahican setting will definitely add a more exciting and picture-worthy come-on to the country’s premier national male pageant.

The first of the Grand Slam Pageants to take place
The second half of 2015 won’t be starting until the first of July, but one month ahead of that date, it’s looking like pageants are going to be more than full blast, as per my planned coverage. And we’re talking both locally and internationally, with big national contests even playing in the mix. Just consider the schedule below.
June, 2015:
Miss Universe Australia 2015 (June 5)
Miss Manila 2015 (June 24)
July, 2015:
Miss USA 2015 (July 2)
August, 2015:
Miss Global Philippines 2015
Mutya ng Pilipinas 2015
September, 2015:
Miss Republic of the Philippines 2015 (September 9)
Misters2015 / Mister Filipinas Search (September 13)
October, 2015:
Miss Global 2015 (October 24)
Miss International Queen 2015 (October 31)
November, 2015:
Miss International 2015 (November 5)
Miss Earth 2015
10th Mister International (November 28)
December, 2015:
Miss Supranational 2015 (December 4)
Miss Intercontinental 2015
Miss World 2015 (December 19)
Miss Universe 2015
Miss Tourism International 2015 (December 31)
A last-minute addition to the list
FYI, Bb. Pilipinas International 2015 Janicel Lubina will be the first among our Bb. Pilipinas 2015 Queens to wage beauty battle abroad with Miss International 2015 already scheduled for November 5 in Tokyo, with Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2015 Rogelie Catacutan following suit a couple of weeks after just in time for Miss Supranational 2015 in Krakow, Poland on December 4. But even before that happens, there is quite a number of national pageants that will be finalized between August and October.
The highlights, of course, will come to a head on December again. And that’s when pageant fever will reach its peak.
So c’mon and join the ride with me for Pageant Salvo 2015! 😀

Kevin will come to Manila for Misters2015
A 20 year-old student at the Facoltá Economia of Roma Tre University was elected Mr. Bachelor Philippines Italy 2015 at the Teatro Italia in Rome yesterday afternoon. Kevin John Fichera will now be the official representative of the Filipino Community of Italy in the upcoming Misters2015 / Mister Filipinas Search that will culminate in the national finals on September 13.
Going into the competition, Kevin was already one of the heavy favorites based on online popularity (he is actually my #1 choice to top it all). And in the midst of the actual event, he scooped two important special awards – Best in Swimwear and Best in Formal Wear – that helped seal his victory. He was also named Mr. Globe (Telecoms) and one of the Top 5 for Mr. Megaworld.
Kevin succeeded Pierre Luigi Reyes who was the first winner of the male pageant last year. On hand to award him was Madam Precious Anne Medina, the Head of Mister Filipinas Search.

Deep in rehearsals for the big day
Nineteen (19) of the handsomest Filipino-Italians (with a good number of them having 100% Filipino lineage) born and raised in Italy will be competing for the title of Mr. Bachelor 2015 this coming Sunday, May 31 at the Teatro Italia in Rome’s Via Bari. The winner will be flying to Manila come late August to represent their Filipino Community in Misters2015 or the Mister Filipinas Search 2015.
Pageant owner Chase Dasalla is confident that whoever among the competitors will get to the #1 spot will make a worthy bid for one of the four national titles at stake during the scheduled finals on September 13, tentatively set to happen at Solaire Resort and Casino.
So far, I have selected six (6) guys to my liking, and they are Kevin Fichera, Anthony Stracini, Cristian Vanni, Davide Natividad, Dangil Ninofranco and Mark Hill Caronan.

My multi-tasker friend of a Fashion Photographer Michael Davantes had a shoot for theFrancis Libiran and pieces in the designer’s “100 Collection” as worn by some of the guys from Misters of the Philippines 2014 including Mister Global Philippines 2014 Joseph Doruelo and semifinalist Elvin Tiel. Check out his other works HERE.

Now since this post is really more about Michael Davantes, allow me to segue the focus to this brilliant man. You should know that – aside from being an excellent fashion lensman – he is also a Talent Manager/Discoverer (he gets the bragging rights for Eian Scully – the international endorser of 2xist underwear – who is currently one of the top male models in the world), TV host (for Mabuhay Montreal TV) and a staunch supporter of Misters/The Mister Filipinas Search 2015 (even as far back as last year when it was still called Misters of the Philippines) .
“I do admire PEPPS, the producer of Misters “The Mister Filipinas Search”, for the fact that this organization is not just about finding the best Filipinos to represent the biggest male pageants in the world. They are also genuinely concerned about the careers of their Misters so that they sought my help, having the experience of managing top international models. PEPPS is in pursuit of providing career opportunities to their “Misters” – not just locally but globally as well. So I try to help as much as I can.” stated Michael.
Misters/The Mister Filipinas Search 2015 will be bigger, bolder and braver.
With Michael Davantes giving his 100% support to Misters 2015, the upcoming edition of the country’s biggest male pageant will definitely exceed the last – both in quality and post-pageant opportunities for the winners. And add to that my commitment to PEPPS, this blog’s coverage will be the most extensive yet. 😀
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
