Just when I thought that coming up with a Final Prediction for the Top 10 of Miss Philippines Earth 2020 would be easy peasy, the last three weeks of preliminary competitions and official pre-judgings have certainly made it difficult to add and subtract Eco Angels in the list. In fact, I would have been more relieved if the Top 15 will be called for the first cut instead.
Be that as it may, the first six spots are almost givens. This considering the collective performances they have shown all throughout:
Shane Tormes of Atimonan, Quezon
Roxanne Baeyens of Baguio City
Patrixia Sherly Santos of Daraga, Albay
Hannah Bithiah Merino of Sta. Rosa City
Gianna Llanes of Mandaluyong City
Justiene Ortega of City of Manila
As far as the last four spots are concerned, this is where the choices have become trickier.
June Cyra Pineda of Talacogon, Agusan Del Sur has certainly zoomed ahead early on. She has reached a plateau during the last week and a a half, though. But I’m pretty sure she has done enough to secure a placement.
The last three ladies are those who have managed to steadily move up from the prejudgings and the rest of the preliminary events since mid-June. There is still a push-and-pull probability of them making it or not. But I am placing my bets on Ilyssa Mendoza of Fil-Melbourne, Rizza Paula Infante of La Castellana, Negros Occidental and Isobel Teano of Opol, Misamis Oriental.
With the line-up above, the race for the Top 5 is going to put a lot of pressure on the first six. But anyone among them would make wonderful brand ambassadors of the pageant for one full year.
I am giving the Top 5 places to Shane Tormes, Patrixia Sherly Santos, Gianna Llanes, Roxanne Baeyens and Justiene Ortega – all from Luzon and NCR. If one of them slips with a sub-standard presentation during the finals, then it would pave the way for one of the ladies in the lower half.
Best of luck to all Eco Angels! May the best of the batch be proclaimed on Sunday morning so they can swimmingly fulfill their reigns in the new normal of pageantry.
Below is my vlog on this topic.
Miah Llanes of Fil-Dubai is gorgeous! I believe she will do well in any international competition. Miah and Roxanne Baeyens of Baguio CIty are the standouts for me in this batch.
Agree, Tito Norman’s weight gain is a blessing . He looks ‘fresher’
Salamat!
With Norman’s very high batting average in predicting the outcome,. Tormes, Santos, Baeyens, Merino, Llanes, and Ortega are virtual winners.
Patricia will be me
Level Karen ibasco kumuda
Maganda
Well, at least finally Magkaka-corona na si Shane Tormes!
Sabi nga ni Jonas diba? Choose your crown!
Anyway, hot topic ngayon si Sharifa Akeel about the Tulfo incident!
And of course, mga splok ni Eva Patalijug about her Miss GrandMamang stint!
Talagang gamitan lang ang nangyari! I know if a girl is sour-graping but in the case of Eva, gustuhin ko man isipin na sour-graping lang siya eh talagang totoo yung sinasabi niya about her pageant experience!
Eva , I would leave her alone . She suffered enough from last yr’s loss…. Interestingly , what’s wrong with her mouth ? She talks like her teeth were gonna fall off . Isn’t she studying to be a lawyer ? She needs to address this or it will affect her life big time .
‘Ay grabeh, bumata si Mr. Tinio.
🙂
And speaking of Negros Occidental (but not Rizza Paula Infante), since tagilid na si Sharifa, I am reverting to my original call for Samantha Chan to be 2020 MEco-Filipinas!
The tall – 5’7.5″(?) – and young – 19 – Shannen Mann (Fil-Comm Florida, USA) could try for MEco-Filipinas Teen since the international competition is slated before year-end, right? Meaning, hopefully she won’t suddenly turn 20 and default…. Ayaw niyo kasi kay Nicole Minano, ‘eh.
Isobel Teano, I just HATE her “Kuyamis”-inspired (literal) “traje tipico”. But her very Miss Vietnam look should be a shoo-in for the First Cut.
AND I WANT “Team Iloilo” TO PUT IN A SOLID FINISH IN 2020 – Kim Crizaldo, Tsina Jade Chiu, Karen Laurrie Mendoza, & Rabiya Mateo.
Na-announce na ba kung sino “Miss Hana Shampoo”?
Will Nellys be on-line as a judge?
Erratum.
Cassandra Chan. My apologies.
🙂
Sa TV Telecast ang announcement ng Miss Hana
@ Norman MUN(epal) 2020 will go all-digital, too!
MEco-International 2020 will happen in September, a month earlier than previously announced.
Pageantry has begun to steadily rouse from its pandemic-induced slumber. Time to pick the pace up again! Maybe we can now ease off on the video chats with former titlists and restore attention on current candidates, PLUS under-the-radar applicants who have expressed intent for upcoming Nationals.
