The departure outfit of Miss Supranational Philippines 2018 Jehza Huelar has been getting positive feedback. I just want to introduce you to the Designer behind it. She is Kannah Besino-Simbulan of Kannah Designs who specializes in bridal wear.
Sometimes, one just needs to be “discovered” to see their untapped potentials for the big time. Stylists Vhee Co/Francis Chee and Designer Xioti Chiu could be responsible for getting her to dress Jehza, although I believe that she is already a supporter of our Queen ever since she joined Bb. Pilipinas the first time.
The next Bb. Pilipinas 2018 titleholder to begin her international pageant quest is Miss Supranational Philippines 2018 Jehza Huelar who will be Poland-bound a little later this month to take part in Miss Supranational 2018.
She won’t be missing Christmas in the country because the finals of her competition is set for December 7. Well, unless she becomes our 2nd big winner in the said contest and she will be asked to extend her stay in Krynica Zdrój, Nowy Sącz, Poland.

Hope you all had a restful weekend, dear readers!
As early as the 4th Quarter of 2017, talks are already spreading that Gerhard Von Lipinski – CEO and Producer of the Miss Supranational Pageant – is seriously eyeing the hosting of the 2018 edition in our shores – the Queen City of the South to be exact. Early negotiations may have already been made, but nothing is set in stone as of yet.
If we do the math, the logistics of the entire hosting and production will be massive. Just think of bringing in both Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational in, and the cost will be almost double. And it’s no joke making a serious commitment to take charge of everything from a host country’s perspective.
Reigning Miss and Mister Supranational titleholders Jenny Kim and Gabriel Correa
Now if we look from the angle of our representative’s chances of winning a 2nd Miss Supranational crown, then Jehza Huelar won’t stand a significant favor of doing so if she was to be a host delegate. Aside from another Asian (Jenny Kim of Korea) being the reigning titleholder, I am inclined to think that the pageant owners won’t sit well with the thought of having the host country as her successor. 1st Runner-Up at best. Besides, Miss Supranational has definitely changed from the time Mutya Datul won in Belarus. It has grown more profitable and familiar so the judgment calls have become more relatively “layered”, so to speak. We can’t deny the fact that it has already benefitted much in terms of popularity when a Filipina became the first Asian to win the crown. So the running cycle could still be more distant from “reaching full circle”.
If you ask me, I’d rather see Jehza as a traveling candidate this year so that she can have a more enriching reign, regardless of where the 10th Edition will be held. Now if my considerations for a Cebu hosting are proven wrong and Gerhard ends up doing business with another country – or going back to Poland for that matter – then the fate of our bet might also turn out the same. 1st Runner-Up or Top 5 at best. Just a cut better than what Chanel Olive Thomas achieved last year.
How about you, dear readers? Please share your inputs.
Big shout out to one of our Queens:
#HappyBirthday, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2018 Jehza Huelar!
Have a day full of love (and gifts) – just like in the left photo where she proudly shows off the Philippe Charriol watch given by her boyfriend Nonoy.
BTW, Jehza is wearing a Yeye Pantaleon creation above, with styling by Vhee Co.
Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2018 Jehza Huelar
The risk paid off, and handsomely I must add. Jehza Huelar is now your Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2018.
I admit that there were some reservations on my part about her chances early on in the competition. But a week before the finals, I was more confident that she would get one of the crowns. She gradually peaked – albeit slower than most of the favorites. She simply had to perform more than creditably well during the Top 15 Q&A. I placed her for Miss Grand International in my Final Predictions, but as it turned out, she was destined to win a different title. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that she achieved what she signed up for last 2016. She may have been nowhere near the Top 6 last year. But in her 3rd and final try, the stars aligned in her favor. Looks like her boyfriend Nonoy will have to wait for two more years before they can finally tie the knot.
Congratulations, my dear Jehza! I am so proud of what you have accomplished.
Watch her crowning moment below.
