As early as the 4th Quarter of 2017, talks are already spreading that Gerhard Von Lipinski – CEO and Producer of the Miss Supranational Pageant – is seriously eyeing the hosting of the 2018 edition in our shores – the Queen City of the South to be exact. Early negotiations may have already been made, but nothing is set in stone as of yet.
If we do the math, the logistics of the entire hosting and production will be massive. Just think of bringing in both Miss Supranational and Mister Supranational in, and the cost will be almost double. And it’s no joke making a serious commitment to take charge of everything from a host country’s perspective.

If you ask me, I’d rather see Jehza as a traveling candidate this year so that she can have a more enriching reign, regardless of where the 10th Edition will be held. Now if my considerations for a Cebu hosting are proven wrong and Gerhard ends up doing business with another country – or going back to Poland for that matter – then the fate of our bet might also turn out the same. 1st Runner-Up or Top 5 at best. Just a cut better than what Chanel Olive Thomas achieved last year.
