Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss will visit the Philippines soon!

Looks like someone will reunite with Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann. And the venue will be in the Philippines, no less.

In her Instagram account, Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss confirmed that she is looking forward to her upcoming trip to the Philippines where she will presumably visit the Beauty With A Purpose Projects of Miss World Organization here. No dates stated yet, but it should be within the 1st Quarter.

And since she also specified that a Leo Almodal creation will be waiting for her to be worn, it appears that there will be a Charity Gala once more. Of course, wherever Rolene is, Julia Morley will follow. And wherever Julia Morley is here in Manila, Ms. Cory Quirino will be around.

  5. As the new Ms. World, she represents the organisation in all their charitable work and projects.
    MWO donated significant amount of money to UP-PGH and some other government / NGOs.

    Valerie’s placement has nothing to do with Rolene or Julia’s visit. It is about making sure that the donations’ well spent, and appropriately allocated, knowing the corruption in 4 corners of the Philippines.

    Just like what Megan did, she went to numerous countries to raise funds, distribute funds with MWO honchos. Let’s not put colours into tnis visit. As a charitable organisation, they have the moral, ethical, legal rights and obligations to come and see the progress of their projects.

  8. What, why??????????? The nerve!! (not Rolene, but Julia) After deliberately shutting out Valerie who could have placed higher, they’re paying the Philippines a visit to get some Pinoy-fan love…nope..not happening…

    • Was it Julia’s fault that the judges in the competition saw in Valerie a “life-less” trunk of tree dressed in a horrible “poorly imitated T’boli tribal attire” or donned with a dated debutante-ballroom gown that made her look like a constipated Thumbelina??? Rolene is coming not “to get some Pinoy-fan love” (which could not even translate into a solid vote to prop-up the standing of Valeria in Multi-media) but to see how truthful is Val about her BWP project in Tarlac!

    • Wag na masyado ampalaya, Andrew. We win some, we lose some. As much as I like Val, she was nowhere near Megan’s frontrunner status when the latter competed in 2013, and a top 25 finish for Val is an achievement in itself considering how competitive the 2014 batch was. I am sure she gave her best and I couldn’t be any prouder
