I encourage you to take a look at Anje Mae Escara Manipol and her potentials for transformation in Miss Universe Philippines 2023. This morena beauty is, first and foremost, an advocacy-centered aspirant who completed her first national pageant assignment during Miss World Philippines 2022. Aside from making it to the Top 20 of the competition, she was also adjudged one of two BWAP (Beauty With A Purpose) winners. Her cause? Sustainable Agriculture.
A Licensed Agriculturist, Anje Mae wants to continue being the voice of local farmers not only in Quezon Province, but in the entire Philippines if possible. She may still fall short of the sophistication most every pageant fan is looking for. But that can be gradually trained. Her inner beauty is non-negotiable. It is something that she possesses that will help put across her message more clearly – and hopefully with more spontaneity.
Catch Anje Mae once she finally embarks on her biggest pageant journey in MUPH2023.
Time to focus now on the 70th Miss World in Puerto Rico where our Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez made it to the Top 10 for #BeautyWithAPurpose.
Congratulations to the Top 10 selection for the Beauty With A Purpose round shown here in their traditional dresses!

Aside from getting a guaranteed spot in the Miss World 2019 Top 40, our Miss World Philippines Michelle Dee also made the Top 30 cut in the #BeautyWithAPurpose segment of the competition. If she keeps her bid on an upswing and hopefully reaches the official Top 5 in the Finals, she will be interviewed by no less than Piers Morgan. Let’s hope that she does because I know that she can hold her own once the judging goes right down to the wire.
Keep it up, Michelle!

Some people are saying that it will be an uphill climb for Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez to reach the very top in tonight’s Miss World 2018 Finals in Sanya, China. This especially after her setbacks in the important Beauty With a Purpose and Head-to-Head Challenge segments.
I say that our Queen has done so much to bring pride to the Philippines in the competition. Whether it be recognized or not by the judges and/or the organization, it’s all up to destiny and a dash of good luck. I know that she’s still in the zone of winning (or placing well at the very least).

We all know by now that Miss Philippines Katarina Rodriguez was unable to win the Round 2 Head—To-Head Challenge for Miss World 2018. She was edged out by Miss Venezuela Veruska Ljubisaljevic. And it all boiled down to going overtime with the answers.
Katarina overspent her minute and a half and that costed her a precious demerit that allowed the Venezuelan to upend her sincere efforts to defend her now-viral BWP Advocacy.
Megan Young voted for Katarina, Stephanie went for Veruska, while Manushi went against Katarina due to going overtime.
Still, Katarina is not exactly back to Square One because there are talks that she is a strong contender for the Beauty With A Purpose Fast-Track.
At any rate, there is a new voting procedure for Miss World 2018 that will be implemented starting December 7:
New Voting Procedure
Miss World will have another round of voting that will begin at 7 pm this December 7 (Friday). The voting will last for 24 hours in time for the coronation on November 8.
For this round of voting, it is important for candidates to have robust support from other continents.
Voting will be on a per continent basis such that the country with the highest vote in each continent will get the continent’s one vote.
Each continent gets one vote in electing the next Miss World.
In other words, aside from the seated judges who each get a vote in determing Miss World 2018, the six continents will act as six additional judges each with a single vote.
Here’s the catch: Only the votes casted for the soon-to-be-determined Top 5 will be counted from the 24-hour voting window.
How exactly does this work?
When (not if) Miss Philippines Katarina Rodriguez makes the Top 5 and she scores the highest vote among the Top 5 countries in Asia, Africa, Carribean and Europe for example. She will automatically get their 1 vote each to get 4 votes on top of the votes that she will get from the judges.
Voting platforms are still: (a) Miss World Website, (b) Miss World Philippines Facebook Page, (c) Mobstar and (d) Model Power Live

Please watch the entire #BeautyWithAPurpose video featuring Miss World Philippines Katarina Rodriguez below and be touched with her project for the devastated City of Marawi.
But before you click, here are just a few sidelights that went into the filming of the same:
1) The part in the beginning where Katja is walking is ground zero of the Marawi Crisis. It is not safe until now since inside those houses and buildings are mines that still remain unexploded.
2) The church shown on Day 3 is the established fortress of ISIS which has an underground dwelling.
3) Katja wrote the script all by herself with just a few edits from Benj Gabitan because of the sheer length of her writings.
4) Katja thought of this even before winning Miss World Philippines. Last year, she already started raising funds from Katarina’s Closet and Bazaar which was donated to “Save The Children for Marawi”.
By now, Miss World Philippines 2017 and Miss World 2017 Top 40 finisher plus Beauty With A Purpose Project Co-Winner Laura Lehmann should be returning home from Sanya after her journey in the pageant. Here is her message to the entire Philippines:
PHILIPPINES!!!! 🇵🇭️ I’m on my way back home as I write this message & I am just so excited for all the bangus, daing, bagoong, YANYAN & Mang Inasal unli-rice that I’m going to eat. 🤣 But most of all, I am so excited to be returning to my country! 🙂 As you can tell from his pic I was SO happy to be wearing your sash last night. 🙂 I felt so proud showing the world that I come from the land known for its people – their laughter, smile, spirit & warmth no matter where in the world they are. When I first met the girls last month, the first thing almost all of them told me was that they had Filipinos in their neighborhood (kahit sa Caribbean guys paano kaya tayo na abot dun ) & that they were the best & kindest type of people. 🙂 I know we didn’t get as far as we wanted to here, but I don’t want anyone to be sad, okay? ️ Remember what Coach Tai said, Happy Happy Heartstrong. What’s important is that we live our lives with a smile & with a heart, because we are so lucky. 🙂 I want you to know that I had an amazing journey here & that I learned much more than any classroom could teach me. Just wearing this beautiful @markbumgarner creation already made me feel like a queen. And so with that, this is Laura Lehmann – Beauty With A Purpose Winner, Head To Head Winner, Top 40 – saying, I love you Philippines & I’m coming home. ️ – 9 hours ago
As far as being a co-winner of Beauty With A Purpose, this is her message:
The moment they announced the Beauty With A Purpose Winners!!! Eeeek I was so happy. 🙂 Because Beauty With A Purpose is really the reason I chose to join Miss World. 🙂 Watching everyone’s project was so inspiring & it made me so happy because some girls are really doing some amazing things. ️ My roommate Linh gave electricity to an isolated village while Tya made sure no one in hers would ever go hungry again. Sustainability at its finest & those are just 2 out of 118! Most of the videos are up on YouTube & I hope they make your day a little bit brighter like they did for me. 🙂 Click the link in my bio to watch my video! Produced and shot by #CultureShockProductions @realyo82. By the way I am loving this #IndoPhilLove #StopFightingGuys
Miss Philippines Laura Lehmann made it to the Top 20 Semifinalists for the Beauty With A Purpose Competition of Miss World 2017 in Sanya, China. And I already expected her project to really get much attention as early as her sendoff last month when it was shown to members of the media.
Please watch the video below and tell me if the meaningful effort will be the much-awaited turning point in Laura’s journey to the Miss World crown.
Miss Philippines Catriona Gray has now made it to the Top 24 on the tough Miss World 2016 Beauty With A Purpose (BWAP) fast-track segment of the competition. I said tough because all of the candidates have really prepared for their respective advocacies. Keep in mind that the winner of this part is very much capable of shooting her rank to the top tier even if she has collected middling outputs in the other areas. So far, our bet is on the right track.
Time now to watch a teaser of Catriona’s BWAP video, with the background music sung by her of course.
And lest I forget, please download the Mobstar app to keep supporting our rep. She really appreciates all the support she can get.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
