Binibinis 1-10: Upper Half

Since the official swimwear photos of the 40 Binibinis of Bb. Pilipinas 2020 will be presented in four groups of ten on different days, it makes things a little easier to judge the standouts in each. By the time we finish with the last batch, we may have already come up with a relatively more definitive Top 20. Of course, it is not entirely fair for whichever group of ten has far more outstanding ladies than the other. At any rate, let’s do it since this will be based solely on photos.

For Binibinis 1-10, it is obvious that the two most crown-worthy contenders are #Binibini4 Patrizia Garcia and #Binibini9 Patricia Denise Babista. As reader Flor would put it, these two beauties can easily grab crowns if it were only the first ten ladies remaining.

I would personally add #Binibini8 Meiji Cruz and #Binibini7 Shanon Tampon for their pageant maturity. They are both beautiful as well. My fifth spot would be for #Binibini10 Shaira Rona because – aside from being the tallest here, she has the budding potential to shine far better when it matters most. I would love to see #Binibini1 Samantha Panlilio because of her excellent communication skills and pedigree. But then again, height still has its advantage in pageantry.

Looking forward to Binibinis 11-20 now. This is the group where it will be tougher to separate the upper from the lower half.

      ‘Di (muna) dapat mag-crown si Pat para isalang next year ng A&Q na pansabong kay Patch sa MUP 2021. DLSU Magna Cum Laude versus UP Cum Laude.

      Pat can be taken in by the Quezon Province AP, assuming he/she/they will still join next year.

      • @Flor, Pat Babista’s youthfulness will be her biggest downfall should she pursue going up against Patch. I don’t think it will be remedied within just a single year. So I dont think Aces will field her next year (to win), but maybe just to gain experience.

        Should she fail in her current BBP attempt, I personally prefer her to either gun for another shot at MIP or cross over to MWP first before joining MUP

  3. Guys, look at Patrixia Garcia long enough and you will sense the merging of Magtanong & Saeed. Or, as I mentioned long ago, imagine Denise Omorog extending to Clarissa Molina (MU-DR 2015, ka-Top 10 ni Pia).

    Tampon, like Hazel Ortiz, is a Miss Bikini Philippines alumna. I expect her to slay come Swim Final. I’m surprised, Mr. Tinio, that you said Rona is tall, because she registers short in photos. A&Q needs to address this; is she, perhaps, posing “short”? This former Miss Millennial Mandaluyong City can be an Ivereen Lubag upgrade (the latter has a great face but lacks height) and be sent by JG eventually to either GLAM or Supermodel International. HEIGHT is MIGHT in modelling; I just hope she is still relatively young – not more than 21.

    Samantha Panlilio…. I don’t know…. Her clowning-around at the Ellen Degeneres Show left a bad taste in my mouth. Same as when Lemonon & Nicole Guerrero fooled around with Mars Franz, stuffing marshmallows in their mouths then trying to talk…. 😦

    • @ 4M Doubtless she is beautiful. But here’s my concern….

      It is safe to assume the second Caracas hosting is now impossible, no thanks to SARS-Cov2 now ravaging South America. Also, it is safe to assume my dear sweet Angkol will be forced to bring the 2020/1 edition back home to Thailand…. After all, our ASEAN neighbor seems able to monitor the disease’ movement better than Venezuela.

      Pat Babista might not register outstanding to Thai pageant fans. Don’t you think she registers like Paweensuda Drouin? Or Karen Laurrie, for that matter, as she, in turn, resembles Poonlertlarp. If Valentina is any indication and the Court will stay in Bangkok…. 😦

      If Nias “Biday” Pilar will not be granted her request for Hannah Arnold, I would send another A&Q bet over. And I think the Quezon Province rep will be up to the task.

  7. May tanong lang ako Tito Norms. Di po ba walang Miss International this 2020? Paano po yung magiging winner ng Bb. Pilipinas International 2020?

      • sir norman. if ever may bbp this year. pero walang MI. so ang bbp international 2020 ay sa MI2021 isasabak on october 2021. so papano ang bbp2021? idaraos kaya on ist quarter of 2021? and then ang mananalong bbp international 2021 ay sa MI2022 na isasabak?

      • @jed most likely sa BBP2021 walang iccrown na MIP rep. Kasi syempre when the current Binibinis screened for BBP this year, all of them have expectations na may chance sila of winning MIP. Next year pwede nang iannounce ng BPCI na walang MIP2021 bago pa magpascreening para at least aware na agad yung mga potential joiners that time na Supra ang highest crown by then, walang MIP.
