  2. When is a beauty pageant considered major? If theres 17 queens in a title, do you still consider it minor? This are 2 questions i want to ask this person who dont care about Angeli winning Miss Tourism International.. pag hinay-hinay sa imo comment kay lain raba ning bisaya masuko.. you should keep your indentity secret kay lisod kalabanon ang bisaya

    • I believe the guy is not from the Philippines. He may not even be a Pinoy. Inggit lang, sigurado ko!!!

  3. We are civilized people and should behave so, in a civilized and polite society. Let us refrain from twisting and distorting the truth. “Most people, if not all, have eyes wide open but covered by blinders like that of a horse, obstructing peripheral vision thereby missing to appreciate the splendid panoramic landscape.” “THEN YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE” [John 8:32]. Let us learn how to exercise tolerance. The judges have handed down their verdict which deserves respect and Miss Philippines won and deserves the coveted crown, take it or leave it. Respect begets respect. Hatred is reserved for hatred in return. Love deserves love in return… And the cycle goes on…

  4. who CAres ? THIS IS NOT A MAJOR BEAUTY PAGEANT! now you see , now you dont. !! Low Budget. only few contestants. There were only top 3 Major Beauty Contest that already a legend. an institution Ms. Universe, Ms. WOrld and Ms International.

    • I think there are a lot who truly CARE! Miss TI 2013 may not be a Major Beauty Pageant but it is on its way to be one… the fact remains that already 60 countries had sent-in their representatives…Even MU, MW and MI started with a very few participants…many other Beauty Pageants are catching up these past years, ME, MSN, MTI…Miss International, on the other hand, is slowly declining…

      • I agree with your notes, Benjie. I’d say that Miss Tourism International can be categorized as MID Beauty Pageant along with Miss Intercontinental and some others with more than 40 delegates but less than 70 from all continents. ;-)

    • Says you!!!

And why bother to comment if you do not care? You care too much that you only want the pioneers to stay the most popular. But face it: CHANGE IS INEVITABLE EVEN IN THE BEAUTY PAGEANT WORLD. Miss Earth is a major pageant! And following closely in the so-called BIG PAGEANTS are Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International.

      • I agree.. You can tell by the number of delegates…
And the amount of International publicity garnered specially now that the Philippines won back to back. MTI is now on it’s way to a higher level of stardom!

      • And the number alone is proof of the TRUST bewstowed upon them by the national organizers. The more participants –the more credible the beauty pageant is. It’s not about franchise fees or anything.

      • right dexter. these are the people who zre not happy with people who accomplished something in their lives. instead of being bitter, why dont we all celebrate for the lady winning the title..whether big or small as he claimed..regardless of the nationality of the winner…a winner is a winner…right? • “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Lao-tzu, The Way of Lao-tzu, Chinese philosopher (604 BC – 531 BC). While Miss Tourism International pageant may be in its younger years; however, its foreseeable future is very promising. Let us not despise and belittle things that appears small in our eyeS. Everything starts from something small. Even life in the womb starts from the fusion of sperm cell and egg cell, the former being so minute it is invisible to the naked eye. All of us came to life through this gradual process of evolution. Even the bible have spoken, in The Parable of the Mustard Seed which appeared in the three of the Canonical gospels of the New Testament namely: Matthew (13:31–32), Mark (4:30–32), and Luke (13:18–19), which shares this parable’s theme of the Kingdom of Heaven GROWING FROM SMALL BEGINNINGS. For “Little things mean a lot,” so to speak.

  5. The Philippines won four international beauty titles this year [2013] which no other country for that matter had achieved so far, namely: Miss World, Miss Supranational, Miss International and lastly Miss Tourism International. This spectacular achievement sets a new benchmark in beauty contest records. A herculean challenge for others to replicate, duplicate or imitate; to outdo, outshine or overshadow. The Philippines has etched its name and levitated itself in the hallmark of beauty pageants; whether or not these are prestigious, popular, minor or whatever… It is bound by destiny to rewrite history and shatter records in the annals of beauty pageants. A magnificent milestone in the realm of beauty. This outstanding accomplishment is A BITTER PILL SO HARD TO SWALLOW for those who refuse to accept and acknowledge this stark and glaring reality. Indeed, “Truth is stranger than fiction.” I believe, this spectacular feat is written among the stars for a nation blessed by God. No matter how hard you try to forestall the course of destiny, it will always find its way to fulfill its promises, precisely because it was meant to be, according to God’s plan. “You can never put good women down.” They will succeed no matter what odds come along, simply because they were born achievers and winners. • There is one more search that you have missed…
        It is “London-based”…
It calls for a display of talent and sexiness…
        It advocates discipline and hard-word….
It draws out inner-strength from the winner to do her duties as a winner…
A Filipino delegate in 2013 won the title…
        Her name is EVA NOBLEZADA!

  8. Hi Sir Norman, happy new year! Can you possibly feature Maria Esperanza Manzano? Apparently, she was the first Filipina to win Miss Tourism International way back in 2000. And also the first Asian to win so (just like Mutya Datul in Supranational).

We are the second country to win back-to-back in MTI after Poland did so in 1998 and 1999. :)

  9. I love Angeli’s reaction when she was announced as the winner. She was like fainting but still with grace and poise. She looked awesome and already a winner in that gown and hairstyle. :)

Congratulations Ms. Gomez. Congratulations Philippines! :)

  10. Angeli Dione Gpmez did not win at Binibining Pilipinas 2013 but she was one of many former candidates who proves that when one door closed another open.It was eye opener to all constestants who are aspiring to be a beauty queen. Im glad also that she didn’t join at Miss Earth 2013 or else her beauty and talent will be ignore also. Great Job Angeli!
