As of today, the movie “Die Beautiful” is in a tight contest for the #1 spot in terms of box-office receipts in the ongoing Metro Manila Film Festival. But with the positive word-of-mouth and glowing praises about it, I wouldn’t be surprised if it will end up as the official top grosser in the annual filmfest. Despite the R-13 rating, people are coming in droves just to watch the Paolo Ballesteros flick. And you should, too. Besides, it has pageantry written all over, aside from the fact that Pia Wurtzbach photos of my coverage partner Joy Arguil were actually used in one scene. There are so many quotable quotes to laugh or be sad/pensive about. And instead of me posting them, I will allow you – my dear readers – to reply with your favorite line from the Jun Robles Rana-directed film.
After “Die Beautiful” conquered Tokyo, Japan and Kerala, India with awards to be proud of, I’m pretty sure the MMFF Awards Night will award it with more.

beautiful movie… yung comedy na matino at hindi nanggagago ng sensibilities para magpatawa!! May all MMFF entries in the succeeding years be this open, creative and sensible…!!
Bahammas might place this year at MU with this candidate.
Sorry, Mali hihihi.
Ito yun 🙂
It was sad, funny, heart-breaking… very educational about sexuality, health, family, friendship, pageants… the casting was perfect. I still have a few questions but over-all it was an amazing movie.
Happy #Christmas die beautiful
