Zephorah (or “Zara Aldana” during her stay at ABS-CBN) has had a good number of filling years doing the beauty pageant circuit and dabbling in local showbiz projects like the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 and Wheel of Fortune. Prior to winning the Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific crown in 2007 (which she abdicated just two months after her reign started), she was Bb. Las Pinas 2006 and Miss STI College International.


The girl must have an insatiable appetite for fame because she used all these to carve a small star for herself in showbusiness. She became one of kuya‘s housemates in PBB Celebity Edition but got evicted before the 2nd season wrapped up. Luck must be on her side, nonetheless. She was picked to join TV host Kris Aquino as one of two puzzle assistants in the local version of ‘Wheel of Fortune’. But after a decent run of the game show, she was propelled back to limbo.

And now comes Bb. Pilipinas 2011. As one of 40 Official candidates, she is in good fighting form. But this is a strong year and good just won’t cut it. What fate awaits her? It’s hard to tell because so many of her fellow contenders have already jumped the gun on her and are getting into the list of favorites. I hope she doesn’t end up biting the dust because she has a lot to lose, especially now that she has some fair credentials to boot. 😉
