Of course, the question in the title of this post is likely to be answered by many as “It depends on which Binibinis will win the titles on March 15.”
But let’s be honest. The chances will most likely be brighter than last year.
For starters, there will be no back-to-back missions to worry about. The challenge of the same country winning the same international crown for a second consecutive year is more than enough to send shivers to the spine of whoever is installed for the assignment. Add to that the fact that both Miss International and Miss Supranational have never green-lighted such a pageant achievement to date.
What’s more, gut-feel is telling me that the eventual Bb. Pilipinas 2015 victors will definitely get the momentum back in their favor. Regardless of who gets Universe, International, Intercontinental and Supranational (I am not including Tourism anymore for obvious reasons), the probability of placing better is greater.

But allow me to get back to the answer I am anticipating for the question. If everything really depends on which Binibinis will win the 2015 crowns, who will you assign to the different titles to insure a more laudable year overseas? 😉

It’s already the 1st of March. And in as little as two weeks from now, the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens will turn over the crowns to their new successors.
Gone are the days of recent past when talks of giving away just three (3) titles instead of five (5). I felt relieved that it was all talk and not fueled enough to happen in actual terms.
There was a time when I kept on hearing wild rumors that Bb. Pilipinas Tourism will be scrapped, alongside Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental. I don’t want that kind of disappointment. Sure, we really want the Tourism title replaced pronto. But without an immediate franchise to take its place, the strong batch of 2015 will be given a big disservice if only three honors will be at stake. I’m not sure yet why the title of Kris Tiffany Janson was included in the buzz. Thankfully, however, everything is back to normal.
On March 15, it will still be five (5) crowns for five (5) Binibinis. 🙂

Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens Yvethe Santiago and Bianca Guidotti enjoy their vacation in sunny Singapore
Yvethe and Bianca in Universal Studios Singapore
Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Bianca Guidotti and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Santiago are taking a short break from their pageant duties. My good friend Sheila (who is also one of the original fairy Godmothers of Bianca
) arranged for both beauties to take a well-deserved vacation in sunny Singapore. For the past few days, they have been doing the usual touristy itinerary of visitors to the Lion City – going to Universal Studios and Night Safari while enjoying all the delish hawker food at Bugis Street. And they are having a real good time indeed.
Also, Bianca was able to reunite with Miss Singapore International 2014 Vanessa Sim who was her roommate during the competition in Tokyo last November. And you can see in the photo grid below that they had so much fun updating each other.

Bianca and Yvethe are still in Singapore right now. So if you are working there or also visiting and you see two beautiful ladies who look like them walking along Orchard Road or shopping at Takashimaya or enjoying the infinity pool atop Marina Bay Sands, then it must really be our Bb. Pilipinas Queens in the flesh! 😉

Earlier in the day, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago had another TV guesting. This time around, it was with ANC’s Headstart where she was interviewed by host Lexi Schulze. Watch the video below and see how our Poland-bound girl is becoming more and more at ease in front of the camera. 😉

Yvethe with her mom before going live for A&A Tonight
Last night, Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago was interviewed on ABS-CBN’s Aquino & Abunda Tonight since her upcoming stint in Miss Supranational 2014 is just a little over two weeks away.
Sans co-host Kris Aquino, Boy Abunda and our Queen had a meatier one-on-one which lasted for practically five full minutes.
Watch the video of her guesting. Afterwards, I would appreciate getting your impressions on how Yvethe is registering now in your eyes. 😉

Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago is extraordinarily wonderful!
Yvethe and Yvethe
We’re going four-for-four with Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago who will be going to Krynica-Zdrój, Poland at right about the same time that Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2014 Kris Tiffany Janson will be departing for Magdeburg, Germany.
In the movie classic “Mary Poppins” lead Oscar-winning actress Julie Andrews sang a song that contained the deliciously long neologism of a word “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” which refers to something extraordinarily good or wonderful or if you will, “something to say when you don’t know what to say.”
Yvethe is basically supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, or for pageant purposes, ‘Supracalifragilisticexpialidocious’. She is an exclamation of a beauty, someone who can either delight or surprise us come competition time for Miss Supranational 2014.
Yvethe and your blogger
And this Albayana
knows the steep climb to the crown. She is vying for a title where a fellow Bb. Pilipinas – Mutya Datul – is the reigning winner. And she has been steadily preparing herself for the challenge. She is aware that all eyes will be on her like a marked target that has been tattooed on her back.
But worry not. She’s up to the fight. And if it means muscling her way through the sea of beauties standing in her way, so be it. Supra or no Supra, she will still be –califragilisticexpialidocious! 😀

Miss Supranational Australia 2014 Yvonne Amores
Count Yvonne Amores in.
The lovely Filipina-Austrian model/TV presenter has just been crowned Miss Supranational Australia 2014 over the weekend and will represent Down Under in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland for Miss Supranational 2014 come December.
Sydney-based Yvonne, who also took part in Miss Philippines-Australia 2013 won by Melanie Balagtas, will now get the opportunity of competing along fellow Filipinas Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago and Miss Supranational Great Britain 2014 Zandra Flores for the title currently being held by Mutya Datul.

The Queens clowning for the camera
When Photographer Bruce Casanova uploaded the five-in-one portrait (see above
) of our Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Queens, I got inspired once more to come up with this short Sunday feature on who among them will be the best ever in this batch.
Without a doubt, Miss Universe Philippines 2014 Mary Jean ‘MJ’ Lastimosa could be it if she wins our 3rd Miss Universe crown. Bb. Pilipinas International 2014 Mary Anne Bianca Guidotti and Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago are also in the running if they achieve the rare back-to-back wins in Tokyo and Krynica-Zdrój, respectively. And not to be outdone, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2014 Kris Tiffany Janson can also pull some weight if she nails the country’s first victory in Jordan. I really wish I could say something about Parul at this point. But the lack of clarity regarding a pageant assignment leaves me no choice but to simply wish that something is in the offing for her.

In the end, I want 2014 to be the best group of Bb. Pilipinas winners ever – much better than their predecessors.
Is that too much to ask, dear readers? 😉

There has never been a more popular year for Miss Supranational than 2014. The representatives to this year’s “real”
edition to take place at Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji (MOSIR) in Krynica-Zdrój, Poland are being crowned in dedicated fashion left and right. And by the looks of it, there is going to be a bumber crop of outstanding ladies vying for the crown on the head of our very own Mutya Johanna Datul.
And that really puts a lot more pressure on Bb. Pilipinas Supranational 2014 Yvethe Marie Santiago who is aiming for a difficult-to-achieve-but-not-impossible back-to-back win in the competition. Our pretty Bicolana is continuous in the training and workouts for the toughest mission of her young life. It actually even adds a bit more strain that another full-blooded (Zandra Flores) is representing Great Britain.
But Yvethe is unfazed. She is focused 100% on the assignment. And she will do everything to make us all proud. #ForThePhilippines mode till December.
Are you still placing your bet on Yvethe? 😉
