Miss Earth 2010 Nicole Faria of India - the first from her country to win the crown.
In the just-concluded Miss Earth 2010 at the Vinpearl Amphitheatre in Nha Trang, Vietnam, Nicole Faria of India won her country’s first-ever Miss Earth title. The 20-year old model from Bangalore bested 83 other candidates for the crown and held on to her status as one of the strong favorites up to the last minute.
The three other elemental beauties are: Jennifer Pazmino of Ecuador (1st RU and Miss Air), Watsoporn Wattanakoon of Thailand (2nd RU and Miss Water) and Yeidy Bosques of Puerto Rico (3rd RU and Miss Fire).
The remaining ladies in the Top 7 are Mariangela Bonanni of Venezuela, Marina Kishara of Japan and Nondyebo Dzingwa of South Africa.
The other delegates who made it to the Top 14 (semifinalists) are Desiree van den Berg of the Netherlands, Victoria Schukina of Russia, Luu Thi Diem Huong of Vietnam, Ilenia Arnolfo of Italy, Danielle Bounds of the USA, Carmen Justova of the Czech Republic and Alexandra Nikitina of Ukraine.
Congratulations, Nicole! 😉

Still too early to tell to make a shortlist of my hot favorites for Miss Earth 2010, but the 12 ladies above have initially caught my eyes. What I’m sure of, though, is that there will be a fierce battle between India and Venezuela for this year’s crown because both of them are just effortless stand-outs!
I’m sure these two will raise the level of competition to the highest as they vie for Larissa Ramos’ crown!
The more than 80 Miss Earth 2010 delegates have their eyes fixed on that crown above Larissa Ramos' head!
Let’s see as the upcoming weeks progress, by which time I can commit to a more solid list of picks for the crown! 😉
