One of the special segments of Miss Republic of the Philippines 2015 is the collaboration with Vatican Fashion Museum
When the Grand Coronation Night of Miss Republic of the Philippines 2015 takes place on November 4 at the Theater at Solaire, one of the most awaited segments will be witnessed by everyone as the Philippine Terno collaboration with the designers of Vatican Fashion Museum will usher in a regal display of elegance and sophistication combined with tradition. All of the group’s fashion geniuses and accessories specialists will be on hand to dress up the candidates in their best efforts yet.
Names like Fanny Serrano, Nardie Presa, Eric Delos Santos, Edwin Uy, Yako Reyes, Dexter Alazas, Ulysses King, Roland Lirio, Simon Ariel Vasquez, Jontie Martinez, Nickky Martinez, Edgar San Diego, Ramon Esteban, Christopher E Munar, Jerome Navarro and more will take to the task of transforming the ladies into fine representations of the true global Filipina.
You don’t want to miss this one! 🙂

Just a sneak peek of Valerie's wardrobe for London (Photo credit: Jonas Gaffud)
Of course, Val can't bring her beloved cat, Chobi, to London. But that blue Bing Cristobal number she is wearing just might make the trip!
At least eight (8) Designer evening gowns. Tons of cocktail dresses, casual wears and assorted heels. Boxes of make-up. And a treasure chest full of heart and commitment.
Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann will be flying direct to London via Philippine Airlines on November 20 (that’s Thursday next week). But not before she gets a proper send-off tomorrow evening at the Nest.
Last-minute preparations are going crazy. And Jonas Gaffud is personally supervising her wardrobe. Meticulously, I must add. A quick rundown of the designers she will be wearing in the English capital include Randy Ortiz, Lulu Tan-Gan, Bing Cristobal plus a few creative minds from Vatican Fashion Museum such as Eric delos Santos and possibly the guy who dressed her up for the nationals, Yako Reyes. You all know by now who is being talked about as doing her competition gown for the finals. Go munch on your MCdonald fries first before saying his name out loud. In addition, fab shoes by Jojo Bragais will definitely be inside one of the huge luggages. Excess baggage weight in the making, but who cares?
That’s pretty much what I can report for now. But rest assured, there’s more to anticipate and watch out for.
Are you all excited? 😀

During last night’s Gala Charity Night of Miss World Philippines 2014, the Official Candidates wore creations by the designer-members of Vatican Fashion Museum
. It was also the opportunity for the ladies to put their best catwalk to the test as they competed for the Best in Fashion Runway award – the winner of which will be announced come October 12.
Quite convincingly for all members of the audience, Yako Reyes came up with the most applauded set of gowns whose lucky wearers were Valerie Weigmann, Rachel Peters and Nelda Ibe. And the three of them wore his numbers with such flowing and ethereal effect onstage that the people inside the Solaire Grand Ballroom couldn’t help but applaud. My hunch is that one of them could win the segment.
From the remaining ladies, I would also short-list the gowns which Lorraine Kendrickson, Priscilla dela Cruz and Inah Guerrero glided in. They wore Eric delos Santos, Arnold Galang and Nicky Martinez, respectively.
But it was the night of Yako Reyes alright. 😉
Expect at least eleven (11) of our reputable fashion designers (plus three noted accessories specialists) to dress up the Miss World Philippines 2014 Official Candidates all throughout the duration of the pageant. Vatican Fashion Museum is now the Official Wardrobe Partner of the competition.

I have always been a staunch supporter of our very own fashion designers. So I doff my hat to Ms. Cory Quirino for giving her full confidence to their world-class talents.
