Alannis Reign Binoya

You might remember her participation in previous editions of World’s Best Models – Philippines and Miss Mandaluyong. This young lady has truly leveled up since then. After graduating from José Rizal University with a degree in Tourism Management, she is now a Ground Stewardess with the country’s flag carrier – Philippine Airlines.

But let’s give the floor to Reign so she can briefly tell more about herself:

“I’m 22 years old and proudly representing Lian, Batangas. I started my affinity with beauty pageants at an early age and has never stopped since. All throughout college, I have represented JRU in school pageants and have managed to win a few crowns in the process.

It is my dream to be a beauty queen because I know that it will pave the way for my other goals to materialize.”

Watch out for this lovely Batangueña who I envision to be screening for the nationals with a touch of class and elegance.

The winners of World’s Best Models – Philippines 2019, were recently proclaimed during a catwalk showdown of 26 young aspirants held at The Eye of the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
​Proclaimed World’s Best Models Travel Ambassadors were Jana Riva and Mark Valencia. Bagging the major title of World’s Best Models – Philippines were Wilson Yalung and Yumi Fernandez with runners-up: (1st runner-up) Zandra Liwanag and Majed Saleh and (2nd runner-up) Shine Solis and Victor Alvaran III.

​Produced by Prowess Supremacy Production, Incorporated (PSPI) and Budget Journey Travel, Inc., this unique modelling competition with the noble advocacy of giving importance to the indigenous people, the tillers and the weavers who produce the main crops used in textile materials, the very reason why there is a fashion industry. The contest also focuses on the farm-to-fashion concept, meaning having a “fabric to form designs to wear.”

With this in mind, Prowess (made up of Joseph Stephen Santos, Edwin Uy, Dave Ocampo, Jinky Garcia and Jas Baldoza will give a part of the proceeds of the project as its contribution to help these farmers and weavers, in coordination with the National Commission for Indigenous People.

​Prowess will serve as ambassadors of cultural integrity so the people in the industry will not forget their cultural heritage and increase their awareness on the importance of intangible cultural heritage by transmitting this knowledge through all generations. Prowess intends to be the voice of our farmers and weavers to help ensure that all designs are called contemporary indigenous-inspired designs.

Last night at the Eye of Green Sun Hotel in Makati City, the winners of the 2nd Edition of World’s Best Models Philippines were proclaimed in an event that sought to produce the next big names in the local fashion industry. The top finishers are Wilson Yalung and Yumi Fernandez who also grabbed a lion’s share of the important special awards prior to the announcement as #1 in their respective categories.

Earning the title of World’s Best Models Philippines Travel Ambassadors are Mark Valencia and Jana Riva, with the pairs of Majed Saleh & Zandra Liwanag and Victor Alvaran & Shine Solis getting 1st and 2nd Runner-Up placements, respectively.

Learn more about these victorious contenders who will represent the country in international modelling competitions later this year, aside from becoming the fresh new discoveries of Prowess Supremacy Production.

Kudos to the team behind the organization led by Joseph Stephen Santos, Designers Edwin Uy & Dave Ocampo, Jinky Garcia and Jas Baldoza for a successful event hosted by the reliable duo of Michael Bristol and CJ Hirro.

World’s Best Models Philippines – The Second Edition

Earlier in the day at the Windsor Events Place in Marikina, the male and female contenders of World’s Best Models – Philippines – Second Edition were introduced to members of the media in the Press Presentation where the most promising ones were voted for as Media Choice – Keann Johnson and Gwendoline Soriano.

Present during the same are the Officers of Prowess Supremacy Productions organizing the event and they include Designers Edwin Uy & Dave Ocampo, Joseph Stephen Santos, Jinky Garcia and Jas Baldoza.

Presenting to you now the country’s representatives to Miss/Mister Teen International 2018 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand next month – Joshua Helito and Alysa Esponilla.

This pair won the Junior Division of World’s Best Models – Philippines 2017 and will aim to bring additional honor to the country in international pageantry.

Getting to know the Official Candidates of Mr & Miss Hannah’s World Tourism Philippines 2018: Joshua and Daniella

For our 16th pair of Official Candidates for Mr & Miss Hannah’s World Tourism Philippines 2018, I give you two young individuals who underwent totally different struggles in life to reach the point where they stand right now. The guy from Antipolo City is an example of self-determination amidst survival mode and the girl from Mandaluyong City who bravely went through the travails of someone who was pre-judged by her skin color.

Meet Joshua Helito #HeartOfASurvivor and Daniella Mariz Lamptey #BlackIsBeautiful.

Joshua may have gone through a string of rock-bottom moments and difficulties in life at a young age. However, these trying times served as his motivation to push himself up and mark a number of milestones in life – two of which are winning World’s Best Models Philippines – Junior Division 2017 and successfully graduating from La Salle College Antipolo just very recently.

“The story of my life is one for dramatic teleseryes. There were times when the family had almost nothing to eat except whatever growing vegetables can be picked from the backyard. That taught my siblings and I to plant anything so that there will always be something available to cook for our meals. There were times when I also experienced eating cheap junk food as viand instead of the usual plain dishes. And you’d be surprised to know that I also had my fair share of bullying while growing up. But here I am, still standing proud on my own two feet.

What are your best life lessons?

“You simply need to sacrifice when you have nothing and never get back at people even if they continuously bruise my pride and feelings. It’s better if you don’t step on others just to get your own way.

I am one patient guy. And I will do whatever it takes to get what I want without losing my honor and dignity. My self-determination is so strong that I can weather any obstacle coming my way. It also helps that I fancy no frills in life – the simpler my existence, the better.”

What makes your family special?

“I come from a God-fearing and religious family. I love my parents unconditionally, and I will do everything to bring happiness to them, including those I consider close to my heart.”

“I am a Sophomore in College taking up Tourism Management.
I took up this course because of my love for travel. I want to see and discover the world’s beauty and many hidden places that will form part of my amazing experiences in life. Unlike other people I always find comfort whenever I travel and take creative shots of interesting things in the environment like bees, flowers, trees and other weird looking things found in the environment.”

What kind of a young woman are you?

“I am a woman of many dreams, I am an advocate of anti-bullying in my city of Mandaluyong. We have a mission to help young ones build confidence within themselves and help them overcome fear by conducting seminars, community extension and outreach programs.

In this stage of my life I am happy that through joining pageants, I am able to help other people by telling them my story and my own true experiences in life.

I also wanna add that black is a color that stands for bravery, darkness and obscurity. And for that, black represents me as a lady who is fiercer, bolder and 100% true. My complexion says it all.”

Daniella believes in the famous qoute “To live your life in fear is living your life half lived, so we should see and experience what the beauty of life has for us.” And with Mr & Miss Hannah’s World Tourism Philippines 2018, she will definitely see a lot of beauty and excitement in nature.

World’s Best Models Philippines: The Winners

Pauline Abigael Ebora and Rafael Baquiran outclassed the competition and were named winners of the Senior Division in the inaugural edition of World’s Best Models Philippines held at Chaos inside City of Dreams Manila last night. They will be Bulgaria-bound for International Top Model of the World 2018.

In the Junior Division, dusky teen Alyssa Estonilo and bedimpled cutie Josh Garcia were declared winners. The pair will go to Mexico next year as the Philippine representatives to Mr & Miss Teen Globe.

1st Runners-Up are: (Seniors) Alanis Binoya and Ali David; (Juniors) Andrea Gonzales and Wilson Yaso. 2nd Runners-Up are: (Seniors) Isabel Alves and Renz Cutanda; (Juniors) Daniel Silang and Kyle Durado.

Congratulations to all the winners and the organizers headed by Designers Edwin Uy and Dave Ocampo. By the way, the always reliable Ryan Tercero hosted the event.
