In what could be termed a most polished production and one that has definitely leveled up this year, here is the 14th winner of the unique beauty pageant with an environmental theme. And she will now be, henceforth, called Miss Earth 2014.
Defeating 83 (Eighty-three) other contestants (with the withdrawal of Miss France) for the crown, Jamie Herrell of the Philippines captured the country’s 2nd Miss Earth crown from last year’s Alyz Henrich.

Making it as Miss Air is Andrea Neu of the USA, with Maira Alexandra Rodriguez of Venezuela getting Miss Water and Miss Russia Anastasia Trysova being named Miss Fire.
The four other candidates who made the Final 8 are Spain, Slovak Republic, Mongolia and Brazil.
I personally feel that Jamie is a most deserving winner, host delegate or not. I’m pretty sure she will up her hardworking qualities and be a more inspired and inspiring Earth Warrior.
Congratulations, ladies! 😀
P.S. Notwithstanding the good production this year, the sore lack of reliable interpreters continues to bog down the organizers. They could have addressed this issue alongside the upgrade of technical merits.
