Coming Soon: Pageantry Norms Season 4

Three seasons and (almost) eight months ago, #PageantryNorms premiered as an attempt to fill the void of an online pageant talk show giving the spotlight to several guests per episode. It was a pandemic challenge that I willingly took inspite of initial trepidations.

One-on-one (or even One-on-Two) interviews are easy peasy. But throw in two, three or four more guests and the entire mix becomes a test of spontaneity and quick thinking – a pair of characteristics I enjoy exercising to the fullest. Imagine if you’re familiar with The Graham Norton Show in the UK. That is the peg I constantly try to achieve. 😊

This coming February 28, Pageantry Norms Season 4 will be back in harness. With ten (10) brand new episodes and a long string of guests, the program will liven up your Sunday afternoons once again. It will be exciting, informative and all-around fun.

After all, this is #TheNOWNormal.

As if you didn’t know, this is the ultimate Miss Universe Philippines week!

And as a special treat, there will be two (2) parts of #Episode7 since the finals will be aired at 9am on Sunday.

1. Episode 7a will be an Out-of-the-Norms Special to premiere on Saturday, October 24, 6:30PM titled “Who is the Crown-Worthiest of them all?”

The topic is quite obviously about Final Predictions and the like. But what will make it more special is the presence of my Special Guest – PLDT Home/Miss Universe Philippines Insider Ara Arida.

2. And Episode 7b will be shown on our usual timeslot – Sunday, 4pm – and which will be a recap of the finals aptly titled “And Miss Universe Philippines 2020 is…”

My colleagues and behind-the-scene allies at #ThePhilippinePageantry and #PageantryNorms – Tristan Francisco and Gerard Ruivivar – will be in front of the camera for a change and discuss the results and overall production with yours truly.

Pageantry Norms: The Birthday Episode

This was an episode mired with technical difficulties – more from my end because Globe chose the worst time to do all their repair and maintenance work this weekend which considerably slowed down my internet connection. Be that as it may, it did not prevent the panelists from engaging in a no-holds-barred free-wheeling discussion about Philippine Pageantry from the eyes of the pageant media.

My guests included Ameer Gamama of Missosology, Adam Genato of Sash Factor, Voltaire Tayag of Rappler, Tita Lavinia of Titas of Pageantry, Edge Tenoria of Pageanthology 101 and Tristan Francisco of my host site.

I may have spilled more beans that I should but please take everything in the spirit of fun. Besides, jokes are half-meant so a part of me is just being open and unapologetic about it.
