While the transmission was not at its best, kudos to the organizers for staging the pageant creditably well.
Kudos as well to Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe for bagging 1st Runner-Up honors, plus National Costume Maker Frederick Berches and Evening Gown Designer Paolo Blanco for making her look more radiant onstage during the Finals. Jojo Bragais provided the heels all throughout the competition.
We are proud of you, our #PilotBeautyQueen!
Congratulations!
This just in: Contrary to rumors that Miss Philippines Nelda Ibe was eliminated during the Talent Finals of The Miss Globe 2017 for allegedly “lip-syncing” her song performance, my source in Tirana, Albania confirmed that NO such elimination took place at all. I was told that she delivered her number beautifully well.
Let us not bash our Queen and distract her chances of doing well in the competition. She has been nothing but nice to everyone (including the organizers) and spreading such information does not help her bid.
This is how my source explained it. “Just to clarify what all the bashers online are spreading, she (Nelda) did an excellent job in her talent and she used “plus one back music tracks” because all the other singers did the same also…”
And this explanation came from Nelda herself: “I wasn’t present during the announcement of the winners during the talent show (that’s why everyone is making rumors that I was eliminated) kasi dinala na po ako sa hospital right after I performed. Yes, I wasn’t feeling well but still I want to show up and the organizers know that.”
Let us maintain positivity in supporting our representatives please!
During The Miss Bikini Competition (or like the Swimsuit Prejudging) of The Miss Globe 2017, Miss Philippines Nelda Ibe was one of the candidates who really stood out. As a result, she was named 2nd Runner-Up behind the entries of Nigeria (winner) and Albania (1st Runner-Up).
Kudos, my dear #PilotBeautyQueen!
And in other parts of the contest, the National Costume photo of Nelda was already released, showing her in a Sampaguita and Ilang-Ilang-inspired Filipiniana created by Lumban-based Designer Frederick Berches.
Yesterday, The Miss Globe 2017 Candidates went to Bashkia Kamëz where they made a courtesy call to Xhelal Mziu, who is the Mayor of the City of Kamëz in Albania.
The Top 7 Talent Finalists – which include Miss Philippines Nelda Ibe- were issued Certificates of Recognition for showing their best skills in the competition.
Pageant Organizer Mias Santa Ana Pilar was present to accompany the ladies.
Thank you for the photos, Kim Magistrado!
Here are BTS snapshots of Miss Philippines Nelda Ibe from today’s photoshoot of The Miss Globe 2017 candidates with their respective flags.
Later in the day, the Disco Queen category of the competition will be underway. And contrary to the comments of some about her relative lack of energy in photos released so far, our bet will prove otherwise. That’s her promise!
Thank you for the photos, Kim Magistrado! 😊

More on our Queens soon!
After a long travel time from Manila to the Albanian capital of Tirana, Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe is all set to put her game plan into motion in search for the 2nd crown of The Miss Globe for the country. She is well prepared for all areas of competition and has even brought along precious little gifts to be given to her fellow candidates.
Photo above shows her with Miss Canada Amberly Jantzi. Watch out for more about our Queen’s mission as she has personally promised to update normannorman.com every step of the way.
Two days from now, a (Strictly Invitational) Three-in-One Official Send-Off is scheduled to take place for our 2017 Queens where Bb. Pilipinas-International Mariel de Leon, Bb. Pilipinas-Grand International Elizabeth Clenci and Bb. Pilipinas-Globe Nelda Ibe will take the spotlight ahead of their three other sisters. Their respective international pageants will be happening close enough to each other, with Miss Grand International 2017 in Phu Quoc, Vietnam on October 25, The Miss Globe 2017 in Tirana, Albania on November 4 and Miss International 2017 in Tokyo, Japan on November 14.
It’s going to be another busy month of blogging here at normannorman.com with the anticipated participations of the three signaling the start of the bigger competition season for all our national titleholders.
And with the confirmation of the 66th Miss Universe in Las Vegas on November 26 and Miss Supranational 2017 in Poland on December 1, expect a double send-off for Rachel Peters and Chanel Olive Thomas getting scheduled by the latter half of October.
Next to Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2017 Elizabeth Clenci, Bb. Pilipinas Globe 2017 Nelda Ibe will be flying to Tirana, Albania for The Miss Globe 2017 which will be hosted from October 22-November 3.
It will be remembered that Helsinki, Finland is the original host city the organizers were dealing with. But along the way, there were inevitable bumps along the process of negotiations that the staging had to be reverted back to Albania due to time constraints and all.
Be that as it may, Nelda is getting ready for the fight (and the flight). She is very likely to share the official BPCI send-off with Elizabeth come October 3.
