Sam Ajdani and Andrew Wolff during yesterday’s product launch
During yesterday’s product launch of My Daily Collagen Drink at Solaire Resort & Casino, the presence of both Andrew Wolff and Sam Ajdani (it would have been if John Spainhour was also around) got me into thinking about the possible staging of the next edition of Mr. World Philippines – the future winner of which is expected to banner the country’s representation in UK for 2018.
We all know that Arnold Vegafria (along with General Manager Bessie Besana) is in the midst of finalizing preparations for the formal launch of Miss World Philippines 2017. And knowing that the same individual now holds the Philippine franchise of Mr. World, plans for holding the search for the successor of reigning titleholder Sam Ajdani will follow suit – maybe not soon after, but either very late this year or early next. Mr. World 2018 will definitely happen in the May-June period so our next bet should be chosen a few months before.
So after Andrew Wolff, John Spainhour and Sam Ajdani, who could potentially be next? 🙂
It was a well-attended product launch at Solaire Resort & Casino that gathered Queens – Miss World Megan Young, Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International Elizabeth Clenci, Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International Leren Mae Bautista, Bb. Pilipinas International Janicel Lubina, Mutya ng Pilipinas Janela Joy Cuaton and Mutya ng Bohol Glyssa Perez – and Kings – Mister World Philippines titleholders Andrew Wolff and Sam Ajdani (the brand endorser) – for My Daily Collagen Drink which is a 100% Japan-made product that has hit the Philippine market for the first time.
Cristian Imazu of Nizona Japan and Ana Perez of Global Wellness Enterprise partnered to give us the everyday collagen drink for health and beauty. It is formulated to promote a firmer, youthful and radiant skin, as it is fortified with Collagen, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin C, Elastin and Royal Jelly. It will be made available in wellness shops and health/beauty counters of popular outlets very soon! A 100ml bottle costs only P149.00 each so it is the most reasonably-priced collagen drink available right now.
Everyone had a pleasant time during the launch as even the Japanese partners introduced their other products that will definitely be hits in the local market. If you want to be one of the first to give them a try, visit http://ph.buyjapanproducts.com
In the meantime, here are more photos from the said event.

During last night’s Gala Charity Night of Miss World Philippines 2014, the Official Candidates wore creations by the designer-members of Vatican Fashion Museum. It was also the opportunity for the ladies to put their best catwalk to the test as they competed for the Best in Fashion Runway award – the winner of which will be announced come October 12.
Quite convincingly for all members of the audience, Yako Reyes came up with the most applauded set of gowns whose lucky wearers were Valerie Weigmann, Rachel Peters and Nelda Ibe. And the three of them wore his numbers with such flowing and ethereal effect onstage that the people inside the Solaire Grand Ballroom couldn’t help but applaud. My hunch is that one of them could win the segment.
From the remaining ladies, I would also short-list the gowns which Lorraine Kendrickson, Priscilla dela Cruz and Inah Guerrero glided in. They wore Eric delos Santos, Arnold Galang and Nicky Martinez, respectively.

It was an affair full of glitter – and beautiful ladies – alright.
Miss World Philippines 2014 held its Gala Charity Night at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort & Casino. Ms. Cory Quirino welcomed all invited guests, media representatives and valued sponsors. After the expertly-prepared sit-down dinner, the twenty-six (26) Official Candidates were formally presented in evening gowns provided by Vatican Fashion Museum.

Judging was also made for the Best in Fashion Runway. The winner will be announced this coming Sunday.

It was a successful event by all counts. By now, I am getting a pretty good idea of who among the 26 will figure out well in the October 12 finals night at the SM MOA Arena. 😉

All they want is to get hold of that crown in the middle
Based on their individual presentation, my Top 5 would be (according to their assigned numbers): #1 Lorraine Kendrickson, #3 Alexa Kirby, #5 Gazini Ganados, #7 Rachel Peters and #19 Valerie Weigmann. One of them will definitely win the crown on October 12.

Now if I have to add four promising ladies with the potentials to spoil a Top 5 spot from one of the aforementioned ladies, they are #12 Christine Balaguer, #14 Nicole Donesa, #15 Theresa Regli and #20 Nelda Ibe. 😉
P.S. Some of you might be wondering why the handsome Camarines Sur Governor Miguel “Migs” Villafuerte was present. Well, it’s confirmed that the swimsuit competition will be hosted in Caramoan Island this coming Saturday. And his office will take care of the whole event. 🙂

At the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort & Casino, the winners of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 were proclaimed in a glittering night of beauty and pageantry. From among the thirty (30) Official Candidates vying for the crown, Eva Psychee Patalinjug of Cebu City was adjudged Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International 2014, while Glennifer Perido of the Cordilleras was named Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International 2014. The 3rd titleholder is Patrizia Bosco of Milan who was elected Mutya ng Pilipinas Overseas Communities 2014. Cristine Racel of Olongapo City got 1st Runner-up, with Kim Fyfe of Australia completing the winning circle as 2nd Runner-up.

Glennifer will now go for a back-to-back-to-back victory in Miss Tourism International 2014, while Eva – the night’s most awarded candidate – still has an unconfirmed pageant assignment. Patrizia may or may not be fielded by the organizers so it hopefully depends on negotiations with new franchises they may plan to acquire.
The five remaining ladies who reached the Top 10 are Dorina Losenada Doerr of Tagbilaran, Christina De Vries of Toronto, Alexandra Faith Garcia of Zambales, Pauline Edralin of Melbourne and Jackielyn Dulay of Nueva Ecija.

One (or hopefully two) of the thirty (30) hopefuls (watch their video invitations below) of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 will have a life-changing experience tonight once the winners of the beauty pageant are announced at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort & Casino. With both of last year’s titleholders (Koreen Medina and Angeli Dione Gomez) around to give their farewell walk, I’m still expecting some sort of announcement about having two crowned winners with a new international competition to make up for the transfer of Miss Intercontinental to BPCI. Fingers crossed for that!

If some of you felt underwhelmed with the numbers worn by the ladies during the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 Long Gown Competition, then maybe, the Designers Competition will convince you otherwise. Held inside Solaire Resort & Casino, the final pre-pageant activity – which ran alongside the Preliminary Judging yesterday – showcased the creations of other fashion designers. Literally dressing up the candidates in their personal take on evolving traditional attires, the participating couturiers made sure that their respective muses stood out in front of the judges. Check out the images below.
And since we are practically on the homestretch, watch out for my upcoming predictions as to which girls are very likely to figure out well in Friday’s Coronation Night. It will be posted at midnight later. 😉

Last Sunday afternoon, the official pre-judging of the Bodyshots Philippines 2014 took place where the forty (40) hopefuls – 20 guys, 20 girls – brought in their respective A-games to win the nods of the judges and book a place in the semis and hopefully, a spot in the magic circle. And this coming Saturday night, June 28, the finals will unfold at Solaire Resort & Casino. Two (2) big winners will survive in the end – one from each group. Two (2) runners-up each will also be named.

I hope the really good ones performed well during the Pre-judging. As for my personal choices, I will post a separate post a day before or on the day of the culmination itself. 😉
The Metro Manila screenings will happen this June 21-22.
The Metro Manila casting call for Mutya ng Pilipinas 2014 will take place at Sequoia Hotel in Mother Ignacia Ave., Quezon City, from 1:00-4:00PM. This will be the last stop before the final NCR screenings in the same venue on June 27.
For those who will become Official Candidates, Pre-Pageant activities will be scheduled from July 18-30. Coronation night has been set for August 8 at Solaire Resort & Casino, with delayed TV telecast over GMA-7 on August 10.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
