In what could be described as one of the big city’s most eagerly-awaited fashion events of the year, Nereku Manila unveiled a runway show at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall last night that featured the shoe designer’s divine footwear collection infused with the creations of some of our popular local and international designers. If that’s not enough, an exhibit was simultaneously inaugurated – which will be open to the public starting today till tomorrow, June 20 – where his more interesting and talk-worthy pieces are on display for everyone to see, appreciate and rave about.

More reasons to shop early for the Holidays
I always love to shop at H&M in other countries, especially in Hong Kong where I bought my favorite pair of semi high-cut boots which I always wear during pageant coverages.
I am looking forward to dropping by this weekend. I just might see another pair of shoes to add to my collection. And why not get a new coat/blazer as well? They do have some nice ones there. 😉

Since we already started with the coverage for Miss Philippines Earth 2014, allow me to pitch in a related competition that focuses more on the younger set – Miss Teen Earth and Little Miss Earth Philippines 2014 which will have its finals on May 27 – a couple of weeks after the coronation night of its big-sister pageant is completed.
Central Luzon auditions just wrapped up over the weekend with the team going to SM Pampanga to check on the young applicants. A few weeks backs, they also conducted similar activities in Central Visayas, Bicol Region and Northern Luzon.
This coming April 13 and 14, the Metro Manila and Final auditions will take place at the SM Megamall Megatrade Function Rooms A&B. Interested applicants should take note of the schedules below. Make sure you bring your photos and be ready to perform a talent as well.

Yesterday afternoon, the Press Presentation of Miss Philippines Earth 2014 took place at SM Megamall at right about the same time that the Presscon for the winners of Bb. Pilipinas 2014 was underway.
With fifty (50) lovely earth warriors, the organizers matched the number of Official Candidates during Bb. Pilipinas 2013, with a number of interesting delegates in the roster. But first, let us meet the ladies grouped according to the area in the country they represent:

The winner of Miss Philippines Earth 2014 will represent the country in Miss Earth 2014 which, I was told, will be finally hosted by another country for the second time. Although still unconfirmed and being carefully negotiated, South Korea is on top of the bidders’ list at the moment.
MPE2014 Finals night is set on May 11 at the SM MOA Arena to be telecast over ABS-CBN.
