Experience-wise, Miss World is the most unpredictable among the biggest pageants that we follow. Whenever the “Beauty With A Purpose” tagline is put into action, the playing field becomes fair game for all the delegates. And then if I add the elements of sports, talent, multimedia, top model and head-to-head challenges, finding the most deserving can get a bit murky.

Just like in the photo grid above, I can include the Mongolian rep who won Talent. But since a Top 30 will make the first cut – and I only shared my 20 favorites – she will definitely be called but no further than that in my opinion.

Enough of the lengthy explanations, I will go straight to the ones who could just be the wearer of the blue crown and succeed Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica.

In the list above, the first eight (8) ladies are likely to battle it out for the #1 spot. During the first two weeks, I started zeroing in on Olivia Yace of Côte d’Ivoire as potential winner. But as the different challenges rolled out to their respective filters, I started to keep a close eye on Alejandra Conde of Venezuela, Tracy Maureen Perez of the Philippines and Shudufhadzo Musida of South Africa. They are crown contenders as well.

Poland and England could have the best shot of a European winning. Manasa Varanasi of India would have placed higher on my list, except for the recent COVID-19 contamination among the candidates that may include her (being the roommate of Miss Indonesia who was already reported as one of those who got the virus).

At the end of the day, I go back to my Top 4. I would add Shree Saini of the United States to complete a Top 5.

In summary, I will be thrilled to see Tracy winning the Philippines’ second Miss World title. I am quoting a friend of mine who said that “…Tracy’s story telling talent is out of this universe, the world rather….You cannot train that skill in months…that’s a God given skill.”. If the stars align in her favor, then I would be extremely happy. She needs to be ready for the troika of Venezuela, Côte d’Ivoire and South Africa, though. One of these four ladies can be crowned the 70th Miss World.
