Alongside the eight (8) big movies showing in the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) starting this Saturday, December 25, five (5) independent films will be exhibited in one venue – Robinson’s Galleria Movie World. This is a good move for the MMFF organizers because it shows the importance given to local indie flicks which continue to reap awards in filmfests abroad. In fact, one of the directors, Jerrold Tarog, has the distinction of having two outputs – one mainstream (the “Punerarya” episode of Shake Rattle and Roll 12) and one indie (“Senior Year”).
The five indies are:
