This was an episode mired with technical difficulties – more from my end because Globe chose the worst time to do all their repair and maintenance work this weekend which considerably slowed down my internet connection. Be that as it may, it did not prevent the panelists from engaging in a no-holds-barred free-wheeling discussion about Philippine Pageantry from the eyes of the pageant media.
My guests included Ameer Gamama of Missosology, Adam Genato of Sash Factor, Voltaire Tayag of Rappler, Tita Lavinia of Titas of Pageantry, Edge Tenoria of Pageanthology 101 and Tristan Francisco of my host site.
I may have spilled more beans that I should but please take everything in the spirit of fun. Besides, jokes are half-meant so a part of me is just being open and unapologetic about it.
Sharing with you last night’s Live Chat of the Ashties with Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidates Bella Ysmael and Christelle Abello with The Camp.
Below is part 2 of our Post-Pageant Review of Miss Philippines Earth 2020 hosted by MPE2019 Janelle Tee and Sash Factor, along with Tita Lavinia and Adam Genato.
The actual discussion lasted for more than two hours and a half. Editing was done to leave out some of the relatively unrelated small talks.
Last Sunday night, your blogger had a video collaboration with Miss Philippines Earth 2019 Janelle Tee and Sash Factor for the post-pageant review of the online edition.
Tita Lavinia of Titas of Pageantry also joined us, but she will most likely be in the second part of the discussions. Janelle split it into two because we lasted from 7pm-9:30pm. I was so drained that time with the activities starting as early as 10am. You might gradually notice that I was getting low batt as the talk progressed.
It will be quite the busy Sunday again tomorrow, July 5, for your blogger.
After watching the Miss Philippines Earth 2020 TV Telecast late in the morning, I will head straight to preparing for the second episode of #PageantryNorms at 4pm where my very special guests will be its newly-proclaimed Queens. Don’t miss this one❣️It will air on TPP TV via The Philippine Pageantry.
And at 7pm, I will be part of the Sash Factor Live Chat Series with MPE2019 Janelle Tee, Tita Lavinia of #TitasOfPageantry and Adam Genato as we dissect/review Virtual Pageantry among other topics.
It’s quite interesting to note that the Final Top Choices of Missosology and Sash Factor for Miss World 2019 are both Asians. The former has selected Suman Rao of India 🇮🇳, while the latter went for Michelle Marquez Dee of the Philippines 🇵🇭.
It only goes to show that, indeed, the Asian presence in this annual Beauty-With-A-Purpose event is strong. Add Vietnam or Indonesia to the mix and the continent becomes more iron-clad with certified contenders.
Let’s see which route tonight’s actual results will take.
PS. I have been tied up with blogs on Miss Universe, Miss Supranational and the other international competitions (like Mister Supranational and Miss Eco Teen) that I opted to just allow these two big pageant sites to release their predictions instead.

Things are definitely looking up for the 2nd edition of Gentlemen of the Philippines. The 2017 competition has Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center – the Crown Jewel of the North and the country’s premier pageant destination – as its main presentor and where the Preliminary Competition will be hosted from September 1-3. This is a big break for the national contest as the said venue has always been associated with Miss Philippines Earth and Mutya ng Pilipinas. This is the very first time that an all-male event has been green-lighted for full sponsorship. And pageant site Sash Factor (with its Head Brix Vera) contributed big time in making this happen.
Aside from that, Co-Presentor Belmeré Skin Care Center is taking charge of the Press Presentation scheduled on the afternoon of August 31. This is where this year’s candidates will be formally introduced to members of the media.
And come September 9, all roads will lead to the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Rembrandt in QC for the much-awaited finals night where five (5) new titleholders will ne proclaimed – all scheduled to represent the country in international pageants such as Mister Universal Ambassador, Mister Model International, Best Global Model of the Year, Mister Tourism World and Mister National Universe.
28 of the 30 Official Candidates for Gentlemen of the Philippines 2017
Soon you will know the young men with more than good looks and promoted alongside their interesting hashtags such as #TheScienceTeacher, #TheRestaurateur, #TheSwimmer, #TheCrooner, #TheToweringGentleman, #TrueSurvivor, #PrinceCharming, #The ModernMaguindanaoan, #TheDreamer, #TheOptimist, #KingOfTheSeas and more!
Hannah’s Beach Resort & Convention Center presents the Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017 Swimsuit Competition which will take place in the Crown Jewel of the North this coming July 22 at 8:00PM.
Be there when it happens as the candidates of this year’s search take centerstage in one of the contest’s most highly anticipated pre-pageant events.
Reigning titleholders Ganiel Krishnan and Jaya San Jose will be special guests, alongside beauty queens Catriona Gray and Shamcey Supsup-Lee plus surprise performers.
For inquiries and reservations, email Hannah’s – info@email@example.com- or visit their homepage http://www.hannahsbeachresort.com

By late tonight (May 31), Miss Philippines Earth 2017 Official Candidates will converge at Carousel Mansion in Mandaluyong to start their long but exciting road trip to Hannah’s Beach Resort and Convention Center in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. They will arrive in the vacation paradise midday of June 1 in preparation for the swimsuit competition that will take place on Friday, June 2 at the Premium Suites Poolside Area of the huge venue.
I trust that the ladies will give their best to outshine each other considering that they are already being assessed for the pageant as early as now (Press Presentation won’t happen till later part of next month).
This is another media coverage partnership between normannorman.com and Sash Factor so expect some pretty good shots of the ladies in Hannah’s. I will also take the opportunity to interview most of them. 🙂
