Three (3) Miss Friendships all in one night: Colombia (top), India (middle) and Italy (bottom).
It doesn’t happen all the time that fierce competition overrides the spirit of genuine bonding and camaraderie in beauty contests. The ladies of Miss Earth 2012 prove that friendship is thicker than intrigues. And they have three (3) good reasons to back that up, i.e., electing not one, not two but three (3) of the most congenial of them all during rehearsals at Versailles Alabang last night. Suffice it to say that I adore this batch, hands-down!
Here are the friendliest delegates in each group:
Gold – Cindy Kohn-Cybulkiewicz of Colombia
Silver – Jen-lin Ling of Chinese Taipei
Bronze – Tereza Fajksova of Czech Republic
Gold – Prachi Mishra of India
Silver – Sara Kim of Korea
Bronze – Sarah Filush of Guam
Gold – Giulia Capani of Italy
Silver – Nel-Linda Zublewitz of Germany
Bronze – Aliona Chitoroaga of Moldova

Keep the friendships alive long after the competition is over! 😉

Miss Earth USA Siria Bojorquez: an excellent speaker (Photo credit: Jonas Yu)
Five of the Miss Earth 2012 delegates – Siria Bojorquez of the USA, Camilla Hansson of Sweden, Brooke Sherman of the Bahamas, Sarah Filush of Guam and Patricia Geagea of Lebanon – were guested on Mornings @ANC to promote the pageant. What’s interesting is that they were individually given the airtime to speak about their environmental advocacies. These are not your typical international beauty contestants, especially Miss USA who could be an effective spokesperson for Mother Earth given her current studies in Environmental Law.
Watch the entire video above and you’ll see what I mean. 😉
Miss Earth Guam 2012 Sarah Filush
Guam’s bet to Miss Earth 2012 is 24 year-old Sarah Borja Filush from Piti. A graduate of Harvest Christian Academy, she stands 165 cm. and won the right to represent the island after nailing the local competition held in Agana last June.
While she may be one of the shorter delegates expected to arrive in Manila soon, Sarah is not about to let her height get in the way of putting up a fine performance against the more glamazonic competitors, especially during the Miss Earth challenges where she is likely to rise to the occasion. 🙂
