Be prepared for a stage setup unlike any other in tonight’s Miss World 2018 Finals in Sanya, China. It does look like a big global game show to me.

During yesterday afternoon’s Official Sendoff for Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2018 Alyssa Muhlach Alvarez – and when everyone was milling around her – I grabbed the chance to corner Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez and started an instant one-on-one where we discussed her new look, her thoughts about that fateful night when she won the right to represent our country in Miss World 2018 and how her preparations for Sanya are progressing along.
Below is a normannorman.com Exclusive on the girl who screams “World!” and how she is determined to become the Philippines’ second wearer of the Miss World Organization’s Blue crown. Click to watch.

Don’t mind the excessive flowers that surround the heads and around the necks of the ladies as this is Sanya’s way of welcoming everyone.
With only Miss International and Miss World to focus on before the start of Miss Universe frenzy, I hope to get more updates from both Mariel and Laura from hereon now.

And in Sanya, Megan was reunited with the reigning Rolene Strauss and her immediate predecessor Wenxia Yu. She also got the bonus of bonding with other past winners like Agbani Darego, Azra Akin and Ksenia Sukhinova.
Megan is having a fun time in Sanya. And we all know that she’ll do her job as one of the finals host perfectly well. 😉
The Miss World 2015 Contestant Profiles have been up for days now. You can get a more fresh update on the ladies competing for the blue crown on top of Rolene Strauss’ head. And in the 30-seconders, you will see how our representative encapsulated the more important things about herself.

I wonder who among this year’s batch is starting to get the halo effect from Julia Morley. We all know that the delegates are being keenly observed every single day. And whoever proves to have all the best qualities to fill in the shoes of Rolene will most likely shine all the way to December 19 when Miss World 2015 will be crowned. 🙂
Miss World is really jumping the gun on Miss Universe as the most ready and planned-in-advance beauty competition of the year. With the repeat hosting of Sanya, China, the local organizers already know how to handle the demands and complexities of mounting the pageant. And Julia Morley couldn’t be happier that she is back on familiar grounds. She trusts that the Chinese have already mastered the execution of all her demands to insure the success of this year’s finals. The only thing left to do could be the wait for the arrival of candidates come early November.
In the meantime, let’s watch the official promo video that Miss World Organization has uploaded to their YouTube channel.

And don’t be surprised if Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss makes another trip to Mainland China next month. Her appearances will boost the competition even more.

Alexandria Mills of the USA was the last to be crowned in Sanya, and Bb. Pilipinas World 2010 Czarina Gatbonton was our country’s unplaced rep then. Will the tide change this year? Or will Sanya continue to be a less giving host for Miss World Philippines? What do you think, dear readers? 😉
The rains are continuously dampening the Sanya stay of the 115 candidates of Miss World 2010. The Miss World Beach Beauty fast-track final has been delayed for days now because of the uncooperative weather and this puts a dent on the other scheduled activities like the Miss World Sports fast-track finals. As a result, the ladies spend most of their days rehearsing for the finals. They recently made a visit to the Nanshan Temple which is a one hour trip from their hotel. As expected, the rains spoiled the same. At any rate, they were game enough to still pose for pictures amidst the drizzle, even if some of them opted to just sit out the whole activity inside the bus. All the images below are courtesy of Bruce Casanova of OPMB Worldwide who is currently in Sanya covering the pageant…
Hopefully, the ladies’ visit to Nanshan Temple will help clear up the skies to give way to more sun so that all the important outdoor events can be conducted without significantly affecting their schedules any further. The October 30 finals is just 10 days away…
