Earlier today at the El Corazon Fil-Hispano Restaurant in Uptown Mall BGC, I had an intimate lunch with Manhunt International 2020 Paul Luzineau, his National Director Ryan Sheikrojan and selected members of the pageant media. It is always a pleasure spending quality time with this Dutch titleholder who was one of the last two individuals who won their international pageant assignments shortly before the worldwide pandemic left everything at a standstill.
Now that things are slowly returning to normal, Paul was able to travel to the Philippines almost three months ago to claim a part of his prize, i.e. a six-month modeling management contract with Empireph/Mercator. He will be staying in the country up until early October, by which time he has already relinquished his title to a successor who will come from the roster of Official Candidates for Manhunt International 2022 who will vie for the title come October 1. The said male competition will be hosted in the country from September 24-October 2.
Back to Paul, he has already acclimatized himself to the hot and humid weather of the country, but has yet to fully immerse himself into our local cuisines. As a self-taught cook, he prepares his own meals most of the time even if his skills are limited to standard European meals and the like. During the past two months, he has been given different projects and modeling assignments that further polished his skills in front of the camera and on the runway.
Asked about what ideal qualities his successor for Manhunt International should possess, this was his reply.
Between now and the end of September, Paul will be busy with his agency stints as well as being the big brother of this year’s candidates for the international competition.
As of this writing, Manhunt Philippines has already been appointed. Your blogger will write about him once everything is in place within the coming weeks.
