Watch my exclusive interview with Fashion Designer and Jewelry Maker Manny Halasan where he carefully talks about his contribution to Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo’s (Rocky Gathercole) National Costume for the 69th Miss Universe.

I can already envision the final ensemble to be out-of-this-Universe! Knowing Rocky’s aesthetics, it should be. And with the inputs of Manny, it will provide the pageant side of the design I reckon.

Dubai-based Furne One will do the competition gowns of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo in the 69th Miss Universe, while the late Rocky Gathercole will make a posthumous debut on the Miss Universe stage for her National Costume.

Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Katrina S. Llegado was a finalist in the National Costume Competition of Reina Hispanoamericana where she wore an Ibong Adarna ensemble by Designer Rocky Gathercole with heels by Jojo Bragais and the assistance of Pablo Galicia Mendez III and Moderna Filipinas Fabrica.

Our Reina is indeed a colorful vision in this costume!

Best of luck to Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2018 Karen Gallman in tonight’s finals of the 47th Miss Intercontinental. The competitiom has gotten harder with the presence of strong favorites Gabriela Soley of Paraguay and Olivia Möller of Germany. But knowing our bet’s fierce determination to do the country proud, I’m pretty sure she will do well when the going gets tough.
