It won’t be long till Señorita Paula Madarieta Ortega flies to Colombia where she will represent Filipinas in the annual Reinado Internacional del Café. I’ve always been supportive of this lady ever since her first national pageant here in the Philippines. And now that she is going bigger, my hope is that she brings pride to the country in the competition.

Looks like Paula is representing Filipinas after all!

Harlijk Productions is happy to announce the appointment of Paula Madarieta Ortega as Philippines’ representative to the Reinado Internacional Del Café Pageant this coming January 2023 in Colombia.

Paula holds dual citizenships for Philippines and Spain, and this will serve her well as she competes in the biggest pageant in the Latin world. She speaks fluent Spanish, English & Filipino.

Before her appointment, Paula was Miss Universe Philippines Top 10, Miss World Philippines Top 15 & Miss Universe Spain Top 5. She is currently in Barcelona and is working as a nurse.

Let us all follow her journey and wish her the very best of luck!

It’s a no-go for Ruffa Nava in Reinado Internacional del Café

Ruffa Nava – our supposed representative to Reinado Internacional del Café in Colombia – was not able to depart for the competition because she tested positive for COVID-19 on the eve of her flight.

My heart goes out to Ruffa.

This pandemic is a real spoiler.

During the past week and a half, rumors were abuzz online that Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2014 Parul Shah will finally be sent to her own pageant mission via Reinado Internacional del Café 2015 scheduled to take place in Manizales, Colombia early next month. Blame it on a ‘doubtful’ posting on Wikipedia that included her name as one of the confirmed participants.

So I immediately contacted someone in the know from BPCI about the whole thing. “It’s a hoax, Sir Norman!” There, loud and clear from one of the most reliable sources. Parul isn’t going to Colombia. Besides, the competition is way too soon (January 10, 2015) to even prep her up.

But what I really hear as more possible is that a new franchise or two might just be hatched in the next couple of months. And who knows? Lovely Parul could be fielded in one of them. 😉
