If you missed the TV special on GMA-7 last Sunday (December 26) night, here’s a chance to watch the whole thing again. Many thanks to fuzels for these 11-video segments.
Indeed, love is in the air for Ogie and Regine! 😉
It was the proverbial long and winding road for the two lovers before reaching this point in their lives. Ogie was married to former Miss Australia Michelle van Eimeren with whom he has two lovely daughters – Leila and Sarah, while Regine – while still single – remained relatively unattached (save for a few short-lived romances in the past). It was only within the year when the annulment of Ogie’s & Michelle’s marriage was granted and that paved the way for the romance to bloom in the open.
Hailed as the Philippines’ Wedding of the Year – or of the decade for some – the entourage includes individuals very close to the couple’s hearts. President Noynoy Aquino will be one of the groomsmen together with fellow singers Janno Gibbs & Dingdong Avanzado and close buddy/comedian Michael V., while Megastar Sharon Cuneta will be one of the ninangs alongside GMA-7 bigwig Wilma Galvante, Regal Head Lily Monteverde, Amparito Lhuillier and beauty magnate Vicki Belo. The ninongs include Manny Pangilinan, GMA-7 Head Atty. Felipe Gozon, Orly Ilacad, Michel Lhuillier and singer Jose Mari Chan. Jaya’s daughter, Sabriya, will be one of the flower girls, while the vow sponsors are George and John – Ogie & Regine’s pet dogs. Regine’s Maid of Honor is Ogie’s daughter Leila van Eimeren-Alcasid with the Best Man being Ogie’s brother, Antonio.
Want to watch the whole ceremony but are not invited to the same? Then you can catch the exclusive coverage of GMA-7 this coming December 26 on SNBO (around 9:30pm).
Congratulations to Ogie and Regine!!! 😉
Remember the last Grammy Awards where international artist Pink sang “Glitter in the Air” while being suspended in mid-air and then submerged in a pool of water before continuing with her number. Well, local singer Rachelle Ann Go tried to do half of that stunt while flawlessly singing “Empire State of Mind” in last Sunday’s Party Pilipinas of GMA-7. I must admit that she had a lot of guts pulling something like that and how. Nerves of steel, for sure, because there is no other way of doing it than relying on her pure talent and inner strength. My heart skipped a beat, so applause for the emerging diva who can take the place of Regine Velasquez any minute now.
