The official candidates for Miss Bikini Philippines 2021 were formally introduced to the press yesterday afternoon at the Palazzo Verde.

Miss Bikini Philippines 2021, the pageant for wholistic beauty is presented by UltraImmuniCPlus by UltraLife- the Ultimate in Immunity and ProMedia – the project management company. Beauty queen (Miss Earth–Water 2020) turned actress Roxie Smith is the National Director of Miss Bikini Philippines 2021.

After undergoing a rigid screening process, 25 official candidates coming from all over the country are vying for the title of Miss Bikini Philippines 2021 with almost half a million pesos in cash and prizes. Who will be this year’s epitome of Beauty, Brains, and Bikini? Find out on April 18 / 8 PM at Palazzo Verde with Livestream coverage over the Promedia Facebook page / Youtube Channel and at the Miss Bikini Philippines Facebook page.

The Miss Bikini Philippines 21 Official Candidates:

Candidate # 1- Clara N. Michelena, 18 years old from South Cotabato, stands 5’4” and measures 32”-22”-35”. Clara is a Senior High School – Grade 12 Accounting and Business Management student.

Candidate # 2- Ashlee Tuason, 22 years old from Rizal Province, stands 5’5” and measures 34”-25”-37”. Ashlee is the Sangguniang Kabataan secretary in her barangay and is currently in her sophomore year taking up Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.

Candidate # 3 – Charise Anthea c. Abanico, 19 years old from Batangas City, stands 5’5” and measures 33”-25”-36”. Charise is a 1st year BS Architecture student.

Candidate # 4 – Zeah Nestle O. Pala, 19 years old from the Province of Tarlac, stands 5’5” and measures 33”-23 1/2”-35”. Zea is an online business owner with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies.

Candidate # 5 – Misaki Hosotani, 18 years old from General Santos City, stands 5’ 5 ½” and measures 33”-25”-35 ½” Misaki is a consistent honor student taking up Humanities in Social Sciences.

Candidate # 6 – Maerylle D. Blauta, 22 years old from Abuyog, Leyte, stands 5’ 6” and measures 32”-25”-35” Maerylle is a Bachelor of Science in Management graduate who currently works as an Administrative Staff in the Department of Agriculture Region Field Office .

Candidate #7 – Arby Lyka M. Regala, 19 years old from Province of Bulacan, stands 5’ 6” and measures 33”-25”-36” Arby is a consistent Honor Student taking up Bachelor of Science in Business Application.

Candidate #8 – Donabelle B. Erno, 23 years old from Ilocos Sur, stands 5’6” and measures 33” – 24.5” – 36”…Donnabelle is a freelance model and artist with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel & Restaurant Management degree.

Candidate #10 – Chloei Darl Zuleta Gabales, 22 years old from Guimaras, stands 5’6” and measures 32” – 25” – 37”…Chloei is a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate and is currently working as a Risk Assurance – Internal Auditor.

Candidate #11 – Melanie Grace Gillamac, 21 years old from Province of Cebu, stands 5’6” and measures 32 ½ ” – 24” – 36 ½” ”…Melanie is a second year Bachelor of Science in Biology student.

Candidate #12 – Kathlyn Camille Y. Lee, 22 years old from Davao City, stands 5’6 1/2” and measures 34 ” – 26” – 38 ”…Kath is currently on her third year of Bachelor of Science in Biology course.

Candidate #13 – Catherine Isabel M. de Leon, 19 years old from Bulacan Province, stands 5’6 1/2” and measures 34 ” – 26” – 37 ”…Catherine is a freshman Bachelor of Science in Psychology student.

Candidate #15 – Vienne Sirin Luna Feucht, 20 years old from Quezon City, stands 5’8 1/2” and measures 32” – 24.5” – 37”…Viene is on her Second Year of International Relations studies.

Candidate #16 – Sharamie Solocio, 21 years old from Iloilo City, stands 5’8 1/2” and measures 34” – 24” – 34”… Shara is a 3rd Year College student taking up Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management.

Candidate #17 – Desiree Justiniane, 21 years old from Laguna Province, stands 5’ 7 1/2” and measures 32 1/2” – 25” – 35 1/2”…Desiree is Tiktok creator and influencer who holds a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management degree.

Candidate #18 – Juvyel Anne G. Saluta, 17 years old from Manila, stands 5’ 7” and measures 31” – 23 1/2” – 34”…is currently a Grade 12 Accounting, Business and Management student.

Candidate #19 –Jem Nuqui, 20 years old from Caloocan City, stands 5’ 8 1/2” and measures 35” – 26 1/2” – 37”…Jeremi is a Senior High School graduate and is currently a freelance editorial model and theater actress .

Candidate #20 –Ma. Thea Judinelle F. Casuncad, 20 years old from Province of Laguna, stands 5’ 7” and measures 32 1/2” – 25” – 36”…Thea is freshman Dentistry student.

Candidate #21 –Mary Josephine Paaske, 21 years old from North Cotabato, stands 5’ 7” and measures 33 1/2” – 25” – 39”…Mary Josephine is a Grade 12 – Accountancy, Business Management student.

Candidate #22 –Mara Cristy Dianne T. Silvosa, 22 years old from Davao Oriental, stands 5’ 5 1/2” and measures 35 1/2” – 25” – 35 1/2”…Marra is a free lance model, endorser and influencer with a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management degree.

Candidate #23 – Julien Pedros, 21 years old from Province of Bohol, stands 5’ 5” and measures 32.5” – 25”-35.5”….Julien is now on her 3rd year of Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management course.

Candidate #24 –Jayvee Lyn Lorejo, 21 years old from Davao de Oro, stands 5’ 5 1/2” and measures 31.5” – 24” – 34”…Jayvee is a 3rd year student taking up Bachelor of Science in Toursim Management.

Here are some coverage photos from the sashing and crowning of Miss Elite Philippines 2021 Shanon Tampon during the Press Conference hosted by ProMedia and The Belle Salon at the Laurel Mansion in Mandaluyong.

Shanon is 100% ready to represent the Philippines in Miss Elite World that will be hosted in Somabay, Red Sea, Egypt this coming June.


Right after the above, the formal introduction of the beautiful Roxie Baeyens as the new National Director of Miss Bikini Philippines took place in a separate Press Conference hosted by ProMedia, The Belle Salon, UltraLife and Empire Marketing Corporation.

Roxie effectively assumes the position. She is fully supported by Miss Fit Philippines ND Chelsea Fernandez, and will be at the forefront of this year’s search for the next Queen who will epitomize beauty, health and fitness.

The same event was graced by the other #PromediaBeautyAthletes such as Elda Aznar, Yllana Marie Aduana, Fatima Kate Bisan, Anjame Santos Magbitang, Natasha Jung and Miss Eco Teen 2020 Roberta Tamondong.

Present were Paul Izon Reyes of ProMedia, Jam Aquino of The Belle Salon and National Director Chelsea Fernandez.

Media Choice winner is Anjame Santos Magbitang, with Yllana Marie Aduana as second and Mika Leonardo/Sam Coloso tying for 3rd.

Shanon Tampon: A dark horse for Binibining Pilipinas 2021

Shanon during the Pre-Pageant Swimsuit Presentation of Binibining Pilipinas 2021

Yesterday, I had an intimate lunch at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Podium with Binibini Shanon Tampon and her co-handlers – power couple Paul Izon Reyes and Jam Aquino of ProMedia and UltraLife. The purpose of the meeting was to give the Caloocan beauty some extra coaching and a firmer mindset as the homestretch of Binibining Pilipinas 2021 approaches.

You see, the lockin of the candidates will start on Monday, July 5 – a week-long stay at Novotel Manila Araneta City in view of the rehearsals and final assessments of the 34 Binibinis before the winners are crowned on July 11. And during this period, it is a must to maintain the proper disposition. Winning is the objective, but desperation is never an option. There needs to be a wholistic focus on the entire challenge. And this lady has really gone to great lengths in transforming herself into a potential winner. She may not be figuring out consistently in the early predictions of different pageant sites. But after the Swimsuit Presentation, she received encouraging feedbacks that gave her the positive momentum to keep on fighting.

During my interview with Shanon

I personally feel that Shanon could be a dark horse who can rise when you least expect it. Her immediate goal is make the Top 12, from where she will give her best to finish in the upper tier of the dozen. Rumors are floating that – aside from the four titles at stake – a 5th surprise crown is likely to be revealed on Grand Coronation Night. I really hope so. This is such a strong batch of Binibinis to choose winners from.

Promedia’s Get-Together for its Pageant Athletes

PROMEDIA, an events management company specializing in beauty, fitness, bodybuilding and wellness events, unveiled its plans for 2021 as relayed by its CEO Paul Izon Reyes.

From last year’s virtual presentation of its pageant anchored on total fitness – Miss FIT Philippines, and total beauty – Miss Bikini Philippines, it will now conduct actual live pageants which will unfold in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the year.

Miss Bikini Philippines 2020 Grand Winner Chelsea Fernandez was present during the event. This 22 year old lass from Tacloban City has strings of beauty titles to her credit, most notable are Reyna ng Aliwan 2018, Miss Philippines Water 2019 and Miss Gandang Contesera Quest 2020.

PROMEDIA also vouched its support to previous candidates, winners and members of their organization that are venturing into national pageants….

The PROMEDIA beauty athletes:

Miss Philippines Earth 2021 contestants:
Louise Theunis –representing Carrascal, Suriago del Sur. A 22 year old, Magna Cum Laude Graduate of BS Pharmacy and 2018 Phamacist Licensure Examination Board No. 1 Top Notcher. Louise stands 5’6” and measures 33-24-37. Louise is the Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 winner.
Elda Louise Aznar – representing Davao City. Elda is a former flight attendant and the current Miss Bikini Philippines 2020 runner-up who stands 5’9” and measures 32-24-37.
Anita Rose Gomez – representing Olangapo City, she is the Miss FIT Philippines 2020 2nd runner-up. She stands 5’7” and measures 34-20-33.5.

Also a product of Miss Bikini Philippines 2020 is Miss World Philippines 2021 candidate Natasha Jung, 18 years old representing Tacloban City. Natasha stands 5’7” and measures 35-24-35.

Two ladies aspiring to be national beauty queens were also presented to the media:

PROMEDIA Operating Officer Chiara Alix Lim, 23 years old, standing 5’8” and measuring 35-24-37. Chiara formerly joined Miss Philippines Earth 2019 and Miss Scuba Philippines 2019.

Miss Bikini Philippines 2020 finalist and Miss Scuba Philippines 2019 Marine Ambassador Sheikha M. Calapatia. Sheika is 21 years old, standing 5’7” in height and measuring 34-25-35.

The main part of the program was the “Meet and Greet “ with the media of Bb. Pilipinas candidate #6 – Shanon Tampon from Caloocan City. Shanon is 24 years old, 5’7” in height with body measurements of 34-24-36. Shanon is a BSBA Marketing Graduate and is currently taking her second degree- BS Mechanical Engineering. Being an animal lover, this Binibini advocates AGAINST ANIMAL CRUELTY. Shanon’s pageant experiences include – Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 Finalist, Miss Caloocan 2019 winner and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 candidate.

Relaunched in 2019 by ProMedia, Miss Bikini Philippines focuses on embracing and embibing total beauty that includes intelligence, health & fitness, yet it is still as exciting with the basic trappings of a traditional beauty contest – swimsuit, evening gown, Q & A – that pageant aficionados are looking for!

To be hosted by Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Gabrena Ong, the three-episode pageant will see the 22 official candidates compete in three general competition rounds in the first two episodes. On the third and final episode to be co-hosted by Sean Kyle De Ortega Ramirez, special titles will be awarded, along with the selection of the top 10 and their competition round, and the awarding of major winners where reigning Queen, Louise Theunis, will be passing on her crown to Miss Bikini Philippines 2020!

Getting to know your #Binibini7 Shanon Tampon of Caloocan

For this blog entry, let us give the spotlight to your #Binibini7 Shanon Jumaylh S. Tampon of Caloocan – the lady with the most interesting surname that is consistent with her lively/energetic personality.

Shanon could not give the most definitive origins of the Tampons in the Philippines, except for a good cluster of her ancestors living in the northern part of Cebu (Bantayan/Madridejos). Other than that, she is clear about everything else – her pageant plans in particular. Having joined Miss Philippines Earth 2019 and Mutya ng Pilipinas 2018 while finishing in the Top 10 of #Promedia’s Miss Bikini Philippines before Bb. Pilipinas 2020, she feels that past experiences have prepared her for the more rigorous demands of the competition she is presently a part of. She is braver and more confident. And even if she admits to the need of leveling up her communication skills even more, she pours her time and effort to diligently training in the aspect of Q&A and the like.

Advocacy-wise, Shanon chose to delve on the fight against animal cruelty – a cause closest to her heart. At its core, she has been taking care of and looking after stray dogs and cats on top of the ones living inside their house compound. Reason why she is excited about the regular affiliation of BPCI with PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society) and the help it extends to the group.

This beauty is aware that competing against 39 other Binibinis can be daunting for a first-timer. In her own small way, she helps guide her newbie sisters on how to tackle the ins and outs of the national beauty pageant game. As for her 22 year-old self, she is determined to make a good impression up to the Grand Coronation Night. She is passionate about winning a crown that would give her the right to represent the country internationally. And she won’t stop until this mission is accomplished.

Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 Winners

Louise Theunis, a Magna cum Laude Pharmacy graduate representing Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, was crowned Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 which comes with a cash prize of P300,000.00. You will remember her as a semi-finalist during Miss World Philippines 2019. The finals was held at the AFP Theater in QC.

Her court is made up of 1st Runner-Up Roberta Angela ‘Roan’ Tamondong of Quezon City and 2nd Runner-Up Kim Velasco of Quezon Province.

Kudos to ProMedia, Paul Izon Reyes and Lahaina Mondoñedo for the successful comeback of the pageant that used to be associated with one of the country’s top fitness centers.

Miss Earth 2018 Nguyen Phuong Khanh, who sat in the panel of judges, is a Brand Ambassador of Miss Bikini Philippines.

Life after Miss Earth for Phuong Khanh Nguyen of Vietnam

Many of you may not be aware that Phuong Khanh Nguyen of Vietnam is back in the country to pursue possible career opportunities that await her after serving one full year as Miss Earth 2018. She crowned her successor – Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico – earlier this month.

Earlier today, I had an intimate lunch with this beautiful 24 year-old at No.8 China House inside Grand Hyatt Manila. We spoke about several topics, including her future plans in the Philippines which she considers her second home and a current project to promote the upcoming Miss Bikini Philippines which focuses on both beauty & brains and the health and fitness factors of the pageant.

As a teenager, Phuong Khan had significant body weight issues and it took a lot of struggles both personally and socially to get herself out of what she considers the lowest points in her life so far. Credit goes to her older brother who did everything to raise her self-esteem and direct her attention towards having a healthier lifestyle en route to achieving the best physical version of herself. It took her more than five years (in which period she also took up business studies in Singapore where she was able to polish her facility in English) to achieve a plan that led to her joining the one and only national beauty pageant she ever took part in, got a 2nd Runner-Up placement and was eventually led to the Miss Earth Vietnam 2018 casting where she was selected to represent her country in the Philippines last year. The rest is history as she became the first Vietnamese to win a Grand Slam title in international pageantry.

Right now, Phuong Khanh is ready to face the challenge of new projects and engagements that will further attest to her health and fitness advocacy. Add to that an enviable 22-inch waistline and an expressive self that can easily convince anyone to make her a spokesperson for related endorsements, she is open to the idea of making Manila as her second home base.

With Promedia giving her the privilege of becoming an Ambassador for Miss Bikini Philippines (as well as a judge for the Finals Night on November 28), it won’t be long till she finds herself doing more projects in the country and perhaps, the ASEAN Region.
