The trickiest part in making #FinalPredictions for Manhunt International Male Supermodel 2022 is in choosing the ones with the best potential to do well in commercial modeling and build a killer modeling portfolio that will bring him close to different projects here in the Philippines and around the world.
Among the candidates this year, there are the real-looking handsome guys you can possibly see in different ads and those whose faces exude character for editorial shots. Below, I have combined ten (10) aspirants who possess both. They are:
Lochie Carey of Australia 🇦🇺
Daniel Jares of Peru 🇵🇪
Alexander Calvo of Spain 🇪🇸
Marcus Max Karsten of South Africa 🇿🇦
Joshua de Sequera of the Philippines 🇵🇭
Elijah Van Zanten of the USA 🇺🇸
Cas Hagman of the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Zacharias Ktistakis of Greece 🇬🇷
Tran Manh Kien of Vietnam 🇻🇳
Samuel Albert of Canada 🇨🇦
As to who among them will wrest the title from Paul Luzineau tonight, it can be anybody’s guess. But I am placing my bets on the guys mentioned above.
Earlier today at the El Corazon Fil-Hispano Restaurant in Uptown Mall BGC, I had an intimate lunch with Manhunt International 2020 Paul Luzineau, his National Director Ryan Sheikrojan and selected members of the pageant media. It is always a pleasure spending quality time with this Dutch titleholder who was one of the last two individuals who won their international pageant assignments shortly before the worldwide pandemic left everything at a standstill.
Now that things are slowly returning to normal, Paul was able to travel to the Philippines almost three months ago to claim a part of his prize, i.e. a six-month modeling management contract with Empireph/Mercator. He will be staying in the country up until early October, by which time he has already relinquished his title to a successor who will come from the roster of Official Candidates for Manhunt International 2022 who will vie for the title come October 1. The said male competition will be hosted in the country from September 24-October 2.
Back to Paul, he has already acclimatized himself to the hot and humid weather of the country, but has yet to fully immerse himself into our local cuisines. As a self-taught cook, he prepares his own meals most of the time even if his skills are limited to standard European meals and the like. During the past two months, he has been given different projects and modeling assignments that further polished his skills in front of the camera and on the runway.
Asked about what ideal qualities his successor for Manhunt International should possess, this was his reply.
Between now and the end of September, Paul will be busy with his agency stints as well as being the big brother of this year’s candidates for the international competition.
As of this writing, Manhunt Philippines has already been appointed. Your blogger will write about him once everything is in place within the coming weeks.

The 20th Manhunt International Paul Luzineau of the Netherlands is back in the Philippines. As part of his prize package for winning the title last 2020, he was awarded a talent management contract with Mercator Artist and Model Management, Inc./Empire.ph. The pandemic may have stalled the fulfillment, but he is now ready to take on the opportunities that will come his way.
Welcome back to the country, Paul. And may you have a most productive stay!
In what Executive President Rosko Dickinson admitted was the toughest decision for the top two placements, Paul Luzineau of the Netherlands defeated 35 other candidates to win Manhunt International 2020 during the Grand Finals held at New Frontier Theater. He has now become the first Dutch to win the international male modeling competition.
His court is made up of other heavy favorites Nikos Antonopoulos of Greece and Matheus Goira of Brazil who placed 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, respectively. The two other finishers in the winning circle are 3rd Runner-Up Yeray Hidalgo of Spain and 4th Runner-Up Mayur Gangwani of India.
Host delegate Daumier Corilla made it to the Top 15 Finalists and was awarded Best in National Costume.
Paul was also named the Face of the Year Special Award, with Nikos getting the Loo Chang Huat Award given by one of Manhunt’s biggest sponsors.
Congratulations to everyone!
Watch the very first post-victory interview of Paul Luzineau below.
This year’s Manhunt International candidates are – unlike some past editions where the pick for #1 was uber solid right from the get go – strong in the sense that the probable winner could come from a pool of strong contenders with at least five (5) men to choose from. You can even make that six if a host delegate goes all out for the win.
My assessment is that Nikos Antonopoulos of Greece (right photo) could duplicate the victory of his fellow Greek and namesake – Nikos Papadakis – who won last 1994. But doing that won’t be easy-peasy because there are at least three equally deserving delegates who are breathing down his neck – Matheus Goira of Brazil, Paul Luzineau of the Netherlands and Yeray Hidalgo of Spain (who is aiming for a back-to-back). To muddle up the mix further is Vietnamese entry Pham Dinh Linh who could be a big spoiler if the favors go his way. So a Top 5 is already assembled at this point.
Host delegate Daumier Corilla is not about to give up on his fight too easily, though. His strongest aces would be an engaging personality and speaking ability. Sadly, there will no longer be a Q&A in the finals according to Rosko Dickinson. You can do the math as to how far he can rise up the ladder.
Here is my predicted Honor Roll, thus:

Let’s see who will become the successor of Spain’s Vicent Llorach tonight.
After tonight’s Press Presentation of Manhunt International 2020 at F1 Hotel Manila where the 36 Official Candidates were introduced to members of the media, normannorman.com has managed to select its Top 12 Favorites based on overall looks, appeal and impact. For now, my #1 choice is Nikos Antonopoulos of Greece 🇬🇷 (right photo) because he represents the Manhunt brand all-around with a dash of personality being an Archaeologist and Travel Guide. He is also very handsome!
Nikos Antonopoulos of Greece 🇬🇷
He is followed by Matheus Giora of Brazil who is a Physical Therapist 🇧🇷 and Paul Luzineau of the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
The others in my Top 12 are:
Yekta Baki of Turkey 🇹🇷
Daumier Corilla of the Philippines 🇵🇭

We hope that reigning winner Vicent Llorach of Spain will be succeeded by the most deserving contender.
Ten of the Manhunt International 2020 candidates joined in the first lunch at Blackbeard’s Seafood Island with Rosko Dickinson, as the other candidates started arriving as well – including Yekta Baki of Turkey plus the entries of Vietnam and Nepal.
Roomies-wise, Manhunt Philippines Daumier Corilla is sharing with Manhunt Netherlands Paul Luzineau.
Hi! Norman here. When I'm not working, I spend most of my free time planning on daily blogs. If you will notice, I always make sure that a fresh topic comes out everyday - not an easy thing to do but it's all good. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy the visit!
