It was a busy Sunday night indeed. Along with my pageant media colleagues, we trooped to Alex III Restaurant along Tomas Morato for our second Meet-The-Press event. This time, we spent quality time with the gorgeous #Binibini31 Yllana Marie Aduana of Laguna Province for Binibining Pilipinas 2022.
Fondly called Yana by everyone, this bright and cheery Lagunense continues to enthrall with her mere presence. Her smile never fails to captivate. She prepared for a long Q&A with the press and answered each question with the consistency of a true ProMedia beauty athlete. And each time she shared her thoughts, the love for her province gets to be highlighted – most especially now that she started her Tourism Videos that will promote each city and municipality of Laguna.
A Medical Laboratory Scientist and Drug Analyst by profession, Yana shows how she can make things happen in any endeavor she sets her mind on. Neither a pageant newbie nor a veteran, she did her first national pageant last year and walked away with the crown on her second. As the reigning Miss FIT Philippines, she is the personification of a holistic beauty who gives focus on more than just the physical. She is mentally and emotionally equipped to handle the demands of winning a title in the big league.
Yana honestly admitted that her target is to win the Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental crown. Aside from believing in the brand of Miss Intercontinental, she is challenged by the idea of going for a back-to-back win in the pageant where our very own Cindy Obeñita is the reigning winner. If all goes well, then she might just get what she wishes for. She cannot stress enough her desire to nail one of the BBP crowns after covering all the bases in trying to achieve that.
With the help of ProMedia, power couple Paul and Jam and KF, Yana is strongly supported in her quest amidst a sea of strong contenders in this year’s edition of the national pageant.

Late yesterday afternoon, a meet-and-greet event was held at the Celestial Ballroom of Luxent Hotel in honor of Miss World Philippines 2022 official candidate Gwendolyn Fourniol of Negros Occidental. Organized by ProMedia Philippines headed by power couple Paul Izon and Jam Aquino (left photo), the 21 year-old Filipina-French beauty was formally introduced to more than two dozen members of the pageant media that convinced everyone of her good chances in figuring out well in the competition.
Gwen showed flair in answering just about any type of question thrown at her. She showed her independent-minded spirit while maintaining poise all around. In the video above, she explained to this blogger what Pinoy and French qualities are inherent in her to come up with a potential big winner come June 5.
Gwen is looking more and more like a potential spoiler in the national pageant. Given that this is already her second stint in Miss World Philippines, she took great effort in transforming herself into a highly competitive challenger – ready to win the highest crown possible if the stars align in her favor.

Yesterday, I had an intimate lunch at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Podium with Binibini Shanon Tampon and her co-handlers – power couple Paul Izon Reyes and Jam Aquino of ProMedia and UltraLife. The purpose of the meeting was to give the Caloocan beauty some extra coaching and a firmer mindset as the homestretch of Binibining Pilipinas 2021 approaches.

Louise Theunis, a Magna cum Laude Pharmacy graduate representing Carrascal, Surigao del Sur, was crowned Miss Bikini Philippines 2019 which comes with a cash prize of P300,000.00. You will remember her as a semi-finalist during Miss World Philippines 2019. The finals was held at the AFP Theater in QC.
Earlier in the day, Miss Scuba Philippines 2018 Noelle Fuentes Uy-Tuazon was given an intimate send-off for her pageant mission in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia as the country’s representative in Miss Scuba International 2018. Selected members of the Press, family members, friends, fellow beauty queens and contest executives attended in support of this beautiful Forensic Anthropologist – who is now an Advanced Open Water Diver – in her quest to become the 2nd Filipina to win the big title in Malaysia.
Held at Rufo’s Famous Tapa inside Paseo Center in Makati City, the gathering saw our representative being showered with endless wishes of positivity from everyone. In return, she promises to bring home the crown and further her meaningful advocacy in marine coral preservation and transplanting.
Earlier yesterday afternoon, Miss Scuba Philippines 2017 Sherlyn Doloriel was given her Media Send-Off to Miss Scuba International 2017 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia where she will attempt to win a second top victory in the competition after (now) National Director Cindy Madumma did it last 2015.
There is a big weight now on the shoulders of Sherlyn as she really needs to step it up even more after the string of successes shown by our other Beauty Queens in the international stage. She is aware of the importance of placing in the Top 3, if not clinching the title itself come November 18 at the Sutera Harbor.
