Miss Philippines Catriona Gray and her National Costume for Miss Universe 2018:
The following video is Part 1 of the reveal of what Queen Cat will be wearing during the pageant’s National Costume Competition this coming December 10 in Pattaya.
Let us start from the top – Luzon!
And what better way to usher in the festive Holiday Spirit than to have the upper part of her ensemble depict the joyous stargazing #GiantLanterns of Pampanga.
Click on the video by Jolo Luarca (I am teary-eyed just watching) below and watch out for the contribution of the Visayas very soon!

Korina Christiene Reyes will do Pampanga proud in MPE2016
Among the fifty-four (54) Official Candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2016, the representative of the City of San Fernando in Pampanga easily stands out because of a good combination of beauty and smarts in one package. Her name is Korina Christiene Reyes, or KC for short.
KC is 22 years old and a Business Management graduate of UP Diliman extension program in Clark, Pampanga. She is one of the topnotchers among the 2,000+ takers for the National Licensure Exam for Real Estate Appraisers in the year 2013, and has as a Marketing and Research Associate in one of the biggest real estate developers in the country focused on sustainable and eco-efficient developments.
KC is no stranger to beauty contests as well. She was Miss University of the Philippines 2009, Mutya ng Kalikasan at Mutya ng San Fernando 2011 and Mutya ng Sinukwan Pampanga 2012. But for this – her biggest pageant participation – this lovely Kapampangan believes that she could be the best Earth advocate. Why?
Miss City of San Fernando, Korina Christiene Reyes
“I am the best Earth Warrior for MPE 2016 because I am a go-getter, zealous and very passionate person. It is through my “can-do” attitude, love and passion to take part in saving our planet that I know I can best use this platform to spread the word and imbibe in the sense of responsibility and urgency amongst people.”
Good luck to you, KC! 😉
In what is undoubtedly the biggest prize money in any Philippine Lottery draw ever, one bettor from the Central Luzon province of Pampanga, Philippines correctly matched the six winning numbers of the Grand Lotto 6/55 last night and will have the most fantabulous Christmas of his/her life. The lone winner placed a P20 bet on the numbers 11-16-31-37-42-47 and won! For his extreme luck and all, the rewards are mind boggling – P741,176,323.20 (or roughly US$16.7 million)!!!
Hopefully, the winner will make good use of the big win and live happily ever after (unlike some previous winners who got rich quickly, spent almost everything in reckless abandon and are now back to the reality of meager living).
Anyways, congratulations are in order – whoever you are! Your life will take a 360 degree turn from this point on so you’d better take extra care of yourself and your loved ones. 😉
