Behold your #Binibini10 Shaira Rona in her Bb. Pilipinas National Costume created by Omar Sali:
“Manda and Luyong”
Notes from the designer
The costume was conceptualized and inspired by an ancient Maharlika warrior, the daughter of the tribe chief “Manda’’ from the legend for which the City was named after the romance of the tribal couple ‘Manda’ and ‘Luyong’ The headpiece embodies ‘Luyong’ also known as Anahaw which represents victory, strength, and loyalty. While, “Palo-palo” stands for discipline, hardwork, and sacrifices. “Batya” symbolizes shield, protection and defense for the honor and renown of the warrior. Along with this, It features the Mandaluyong’s famous Lavandero’s Festival.
All of these portray the epitome of a woman who willful shows unconditional, selfless, and patriotic love to God and countrymen.

A virtual Santacruzan it will be for Bb. Pilipinas 2020. Because of the pandemic crisis, the Binibinis will have to be dolled up off-site and presented as sagalas online. It takes some getting used to, but this is already a sneak peek into the new normal – the BPCI way.
Below are three more ladies to feast your eyes on.

If Hannah Arnold is going to return to the nationals in 2020, this is one of her looks that I would love to see more of. Soft but not fragile. Gorgeous and very appealing to the eye.

Some people are saying that your #Binibini38 Vickie Rushton is the silent killer among the Bb Pilipinas 2019 candidates. Not that she is the type who would come from behind and steal the thunder from right under the noses of the perceived winners at this point. She is already one of the front runners. It’s just that compared to the other heavyweights, she is not like a lightning that strikes so frequently as to make people long for her new “surprises” every week.
Watch out for Vickie!
