The Miss Earth 2009 delegates were brought to Sta. Rosa, Laguna for a refreshingly eco-friendly day trip to the Nuvali estate where they had a fun-filled visit marked with tree-planting, book reading and interaction with the children beneficiaries of the same.

NUVALI, a 1,750 hectare property developed by Ayala Land, provides the international pageant a true home in the Philippines for Miss Earth environmental advocacy is aligned with one of the three pillars of sustainability which NUVALI espouses.
Highlight of the visit is a program which supports both the environmental efforts of NUVALI tied-in with its awareness program with adopted grade 1 pupils from the areas as beneficiaries. The environmental program is intended to plant the seeds of caring for the earth in the minds of the children. It teaches the children on how small steps in caring for the earth is a leap to a greener tomorrow.
